watch the Housecalls interview. Another wonderful interview--with some surprising and perceptive viewpoints he has on both himself, the other HGs and his experience. I've posted before on this forum my like for Jerry. I still can't understand the universal vilification of this (at heart) genuinely nice guy!! His exit interviews have shown a really smart man--the only one to truly spot a lot of the alliances, and calling them out. When Gretchen asks him to give a one-word description of each HG--AMAZING how he is right on the money with most of them: Angie (who he says how much he liked)--Cool, Keesha--Class (a lot of class), Jessie--tough, Libra--feisty, Memphis--Charmer, Michelle--driver. When he analyzes his time in the house--one can really see how in touch and honest he is with his own feelings--you know--at his exit interview with Julie, he is the only male (other than Steven) to have teared-up this season. That says a lot for this elderly man, this old "tough bastard" (to use his expression). I got so annoyed during the season when HGs and posters alike kept moaning and groaning about his endless, long-winded stories, his "bragging" about his possessions, their complete unwillingness to identify with someone so isolated in the home. Imagine several of the things that made it SO difficult for him: being made HOH the first week (something he definitely DID NOT want), and then being ganged-up on to oust Brian (right at THE START of the game!), his being on slop more than any of the others--and hearing how sad it was for him to have that further isolate him since he couldn't "break bread" with the others at meal times, and the fact that people just kept ignoring him. Keesha, who was so devastated when Renny left, that she basically "gave up" on the game, made comments how miserable Jerry must have been playing that game of back-stabbing and betrayal, basically all alone, and yet.....he never gave up...he never called it quits. Those HGs like Renny who so resented him getting the letter from home, and HGs like Memphis who is still calling Jerry an a******, while he celebrates with Dan, have simply missed the point with Jerry. He's not a bad guy. He was at a disadvantage in every way in the game--and yet he was anything but dull--he was a trooper, MUCH smarter than people gave him credit for, and a real fine addition to this year's quirky BB season--keeping the game intriguing for us to watch! I'm really wishing Jerry well, too!!!!
