Adam Poch of Hoboken dodges another 'Big Brother' eviction bullet Published: Friday, July 22, 2011, 3:00 AM By The Jersey Journal The Jersey Journal
The “Big Brother” houseguests voted to evict Cassi Colvin by a vote of 9 to 0 on last night’s program. Colvin was on the block this week with her partner, Shelly Moore. As the surviving member of the team, Shelly gets a “Golden Key,” which keeps her safe from nomination for the next two weeks.
Hoboken resident Adam Poch was nominated for eviction by Head of Household Jordan Lloyd earlier in the week, but found himself safe after his teammate, Dominic Briones won the veto competition, which allowed Dominic to take himself and Adam off the chopping block.
A rift between the veteran players was exposed when Rachel Reilly and her fiancé, Brendan Villegas, began making plans to turn against Jordan and her boyfriend Jeff Schroeder. Brendan and Rachel, often referred to on online forums as “Brenchel,” pressured Jordan to get rid of Cassi, but Jordan nominated Dominic and Adam instead.
Before the veto competition, Brenchel began making plans to win the veto, forcing Jordan to put someone else up for nomination instead.
Adam, meanwhile, made a pact with Jordan and Jeff to throw the veto competition and they would have Dominic voted out. Adam did indeed throw his end of the veto, but because all the competitors played as single players, Dominic won and was able to save himself and Adam.
Viewers of “Big Brother” got a little glimpse into Poch’s life as the show visited Willie McBride’s bar, where Adam’s girlfriend, Fara, watches Big Brother with the couple’s friends. Adam, a big “Big Brother” fan, tried out once before, Fara said, but he was more than 100 pounds heavier than he is now. That’s when he made the commitment to lose weight. web page
