F3 - Roddy's story about meeting the Pope, Jason's brother (more)
Jason told a story about being picked on when he was smaller and his brother, in diapers, went over and beat the bullying kid with a stick. R says he met the Pope. R sounds serious but joking at the same time. R says his father is a career volunteer and set up an exhibit at an art museum about the Etruscan people. Through friends of friends R's parents managed to meet the people who help care for a particular wing of the Vatican. They were invited and went to Vatican City... he describes in detail the beauty and refinement of the place. R jokes that they said "If Malcom Forbes walked into this house, he'd say This Is One Big F***ing House!" to which they laugh. They talk about how it is seeing the Pope in mass... we get a just like seeing REO Speedwagon live joke out of Roddy. (referencing tonight's show) He talks about how he got up close to the Pope. Says the Pope delivers the Mass in "about a million different languages, Japanese inclusive" which particularly amazed him. Roddy explains how a bunch of nuns started a frenzy of trying to move people and pull the Pontiff back so they can touch the Holy Father. R says that the Pope spoke to his whole family and there are pictures where you can see the angry Nuns in the background, like "hoodlums at an English soccer game". (BB: Danielle, Please Go To The Diary Room.) R says the Pope introduced himself and asked him if there was anything he could do.. and R jokes that he almost made a joke at the Pope, he almost said "Yeah, can you validate my parking?" He asked him to pray for a couple of people, accepted a ring as a gift. Tells them that they then got to go to the Pontiff's summer home outside Rome. He describes machine guns and "all kinds of craziness" to get in there.. adds that only so many Christian workers have even gotten in there to see it and he says it was such an experience. G jokes that "you got a guy". M seems exasperated and says "That's good". More talk around the dinner table... posting

Josh breaks the rules
Josh in HOH with Gerry and pulls off his mike and says I want no one to hear. He then whispers to Gerrry's ear why it is important that Gerry make his key the first (the reason we don't know as his mike was off). Gerry says "if that is the reason how can I not". If that does not call for a peanalty nom.....

Josh and the Nomination Keys
Josh asked Gerry at least twice now to place his key in the first slot during the nomination process. He said it was a signal of sorts. Gerry's response the first time was I was planning to do that anyway. A few minutes ago Josh goes back in the HOH room, takes off his microphone, and appears to whisper what the signal is about. Gerry thinks it is great. It sounds like maybe it is meant to be a signal to Amy. Did anybody out there understand what he whispered?

Feeds keep breaking up. Gerry seems to be letting know that Daniell is OK (fool). Feeds keep switching to Hot tub. they leave the room and Danielle says "whatever it is, I will leave it as it is" I assume a reference to veto.

F1 - Josh and Gerry meet, Gang of 4 in Hot Tub, Danielle also meets with G (long)
F1 popped into the HoH real fast for a quick strategy session with Gerry and Josh. Josh says he did a great thing, mentions what he just said in there (?). Josh tells Gerry he apologizes a million times, Gerry says he's sorry too. He's apologizing profusely. Josh telling him how what he did hurt. Gerry says "we're back". They shake hands. Josh quietly goes "let's ride this f***er"... Josh asks if our new HoH has decided for sure that it's two females going on the block. Jo mentions Chiara and Lisa specifically. G says one most definitely, Lisa - he may put C up, he may play E against her - but it's to make sure Lisa is going out (!). Josh nods and instructs Gerry to make sure about the key placement thing for nomination. G tells him (again) that he probably would have done that anyway. I guess it's about the marriage proposal, and G says "how can I not?" and they share a hug. Just as fast, we're outside at the Hot Tub. Roddy, Chiara, Lisa and Eric are around and in the HT.... Roddy says by some chance 2 "of us" go up.. Lisa says it won't be him(R) it'll be one of us. Not finishing the earlier thought, R says that Gerry told him his reason for keeping Josh around is to make it to the end game. Josh arrived and they stopped quickly, Marcellas arrives too to put his feet in the Tub. ----------- Gerry meeting with Danielle in HoH. G says he wouldn't mind seeing D win a half million.. she needs a house. G says "part of what Josh says is true".. and D is agreeing. Feed rudely switches back out to baseball chatter out at the Tub! Back to HoH thankfully. G says D won him over with the BS about washing hands. G says "Just tell me!" Another view change. And back. And over again. Back outside. Okay, they're passing the Citrona around at BB feed control. More sporadic switching on F1. They apparently finish up and D says "I know you understand me".. and tells him "Whatever you do, leave as is". G says "mm-hmm" and declares his intent to go Hot Tubbin'... (ed: more of D/G HoH meeting in reply below)

more on Danielle's HOH room meeting with Gerry
Just based on memory, since it wasn't in the last update (I think it was missed Because both Cam 1 and Cam 3 were on HOH but one of them kept switching to the hot tub and the other stayed on HOH). In HOH when Gerry was telling her he would nominate two from the couples, Danielle also said something to the effect that the girls were easier for her to control, but she didn't say this quite so directly... instead she followed up her cryptic comment by a line about "i'm speaking in code." Gerry didn't seem to react one way or another to her suggestion.

Roddy/Josh strategizing: Josh tells Roddy that Eric will be up (long)
Josh/Roddy strategy He tells Ro he can't put Gerry up next week as he's made a deal. Jo will tell Gerry that he's in a tricky position for the veto, as he made deal with Er/Ro for 6 weeks. Jo tells RO that Gerry is putting up Lisa/Eric. Josh says people are afraid to use veto, and Roddy says it makes more sense to use it. Josh says it depends week to week. He will tell Gerry if Eric goes up, he will have problems. Kiki he has no issue with. He's going to try to het Eric off, but he says Lisa will go for sure. He said Gerry doesn't trust the couples. Jo also explained to Dani, and Dani feels there's an X on her back because she's a girl. Jo made no promises to Dani except to be straightforward. Which isn't a promise to keep her around. About the key, Gerry will put it first. Then he tells Roddy he farts too much. Josh says either he's being played or Ge loves him. Ro says Ge needs Josh. Josh says he doesn't want Eric up. Josh wants girls to know he won't put them up. Josh loves Kiki. Lisa lied to him about Tonya, "went with her heart". He feels he got fed a story. He said he wouldn't go against group. His only real promise is to Ro and Eric. He says if those guys screw him over he goes (in DR). IE if Josh screws Roddy over, there'd be no foreseeing it. He says he can't express this to Gerry. He told Gerry he'd break up couples. But he told Gerry the 2 guys backed him. Roddy says don't you think I'm ahead of you on this? Wait till you see the tape. If you called me the biggest [censored] in town, nothing is happening to me. Josh says I could tell you were never worried. But there's pressure from others. Roddy says to get my ass out? Jo sas not you, but you, eric looked as power that needs to be broken up. All 4 of you. Roddy thanks him, and Josh says "I look at you as a close friend in the future… I'd love to win… I'm not getting into this." And Eric busts out looking for poker players. Roddy and Josh fall silent, for a brief while. Josh says Da and Marc look at Josh as a pure independent, or like he's being used. And they enter the house.

Dani/Kiki talking men, sex, Roddy, and more
Eric/Lisa asleep, whilst Dani and Kiki are talking about their lives and telling tales. Dani asks Kiki if they ever made it in HoH and Kiki says no. Dani says I'd have been on top of him making out. Kiki says I only would do that on top of covers. He is very… and says they asked her in DR. You're not shy, he is? And she said she was shy, Roddy said have you seen yourself in shower with Tonya lately? Kiki says Roddy asks her often to makeout, and Dani says you just pounce on him. I'd have jumped on him! She tells her it would be romantic. (All they think about is how it's going to look, throughout this convo.) Dani tells her to get HoH and kiss intimately so people can see they care. Dani lays out a whole scene.. he touches her cheek gently, and on and on. Kiki says if she gets HoH she'll do it. They talk about HoH and how disappointed they were. Dani said a lot of it was guessing. Dani says Roddy has a huge sex drive, and kiki says he has older parents who are watching. Dani harps on kisses. She mentions the tension that builds on a certain movie. Kiki says she can't even watch him work out any more, and Dani says women have sex drives and needs, and "God help my husband, please give him strength! I need 2 minutes and I'm there." Kiki says 5 minutes. Kiki never thought she had a big sex drive until she had sex with someone she really wanted to have sex with. Then freaks that she said that, and Dani cracks up. Marc enters.

C4 Dani says kissing is so important. Sex is over quick. As a woman you need that touch. Dogs have sex. We need that caress. Back to the men. Josh/Gerry Eric playing something. They're laughing. Oh, it's the poker game. They play, laugh, discuss the cards. C4 Back to the girls, and now Kiki is talking about men who give good backrubs. It tells her a lot about how he'll be… and Lisa asks her about Roddy. She says he touches her everywhere, and holds her in bed. She says that through years she lost that with her ex man, and it wore off. It's different because it's a new person. And the Ash thing went wrong relationwise, so she longs for Roddy's touch. Cycling the Feeds:
F 3 has a stock night vision shot of Roddy and Chi in the HoH bed while Chi is actually in the HRD talking to Dani and Lisa. I've heard of these things, but have avoided them so far. Dumb. F 4 (what's with these #$%^ commercials? That close-up picture of Gerry creeps me out. If you are quick enough and double click on the button, you can usually get rid of it). We have the aforementioned chat between D, L & C in HRD. Romantic talk: Roddy and Chi, Movie romance, kissing, women's needs. Chi says, "I never thought that I had a big sex drive until I had sex with a guy I really wanted to have sex with." They all laugh. Lisa says, "that sounds really bad." Dani talking about the problems of romance with kids and the importance of kissing. F 1 & 2 is the boys playing poker (Josh, Roddy, Eric & Gerry) Marc is elsewhere. He just visited the girls in HRD to complain that the boys didn't want to play with him, but when he heard the talk in there, he beat a hasty retreat. They are now teaching Gerry a new game and the feed changes to the girls again. They are talking about Roddy's touch and how important the touch is. She says, "I always fear when a guy gives me a back-rub, like oh God, this is going to tell me everything about him." She is deprived of the right touch for a long time. Her b/f Ashley has lost the touch, but 'snap, snap' apparently has it. "Snap, snap' leads us to FOTFH.

(Why are they punishing us for what they talk about? That was a long FOTFH) F 3 & 4 is the card game. (They are talking in terms of betting money, is it pretend money or IOU's for after the show? ) Gerry seems to be out of the game now. Someone is in the kitchen banging around. F 1 & 2 is the HRD chat with snacks now: crunchy snacks. The general topic seems unchanged. Jason enters (with permission) to offer something he describes as layers of jelly (it looks like pancakes with jelly in between). He make it with his own hands (Marc advised). Josh comes in to say sarcastically, "I just want to thank you for eating my sandwich." A girl replies, "What sandwich?" Josh says, "Exactly!" and leaves. The girls discuss this. He seemed serious about it, they say, but they have no idea what he is talking about. FOTFH again. We return to Dani talking about Amy and her relationship with "PWS". Now crapping on her about they way she talks about and relates to her dog. F 3 & 4 has Gerry back in the game with Roddy talking about a big stakes poker game he was in. Eric talks of some kid in collage who stole all his CD's and sold them to other students. They are all eating something too. It is lip-smacking good, and sticky, whatever it is. [This is a quiet night, Thursdays always are - I will monitor for another hour or two, but will only update if something actually seems to happen.]

Finally found out what happened to Jason and Marc, they are playing cards in the dining room. >>>
Dani has come in and is looking over Jason's shoulder and he is acting nervous. She says, "What's the matter, don't you trust me?" Jasnon says "No, it's not that. You might tell him something" "Did you see me do that" Dani is effectively telling him how to play his hand and he is objecting ineffectually. (Jason is just too polite at times) Chi is lying on the counter and singing while wiggling her feet in the air "That's the story of, that's the glory of . . ." We get away with it once, but when she starts again FOTFH Short break. Now the boys are starting over to include the girls. Chi is up on the lazy-Susan in the middle of the table twirling herself around. Now she stops and is playing her hand from there in a cross-legged position. Jason suggested that they play "spin the table" No reaction from Chi (surprise), but she soon drifts into dirty talk and insults with Marc. This game is Marc, Dani, Jason, Chi and Lisa. Lots of ghetto talk going on, not exclusively limited to Dani and Marc, but they are taking the lead. The other 4 guys are still plying their game in the LR. This doesn't constitute "something actually happening," but it is different. Back into monitor mode.]

Roddy pressuring Gerry in the HOH. Roddy stressing that they made a deal and Gerry shouldn't be selfish and go back on their deal because people will
see it and say Gerry lied. Roddy tells Gerry that "after all they are the smartest people there" and that he knows it should be Gerry, Eric and himself at the end. Even though he and Kiki are close and they flirt, if she F* up she would have to go. Roddy keeps asking how Gerry sees it in the future and mentions Dani to G, saying he loves her, but she worries him - Dani would get all the girls together and that would be bad for the guys (they would be ganged up on). Roddy says if Kiki were to F* up and say she was alligned more with Jo or somebody well, she'd just have to go because R didn't agree with how to end up the winner. Roddy is hammering away that this is "something to think about" and all the girls are pooling together. Roddy throws in that he feels sorry for Lori and sorry for Amy.

Gerry and Roddy in HoH. Gerry says "Call in your marker. You're safe. Call in your marker. What do you want? Do you want Chiara safe?"
(I have no recollection of there having been any second part to the agreement they made before). Roddy doesn't say what he wants. He is saying that whatever Gerry does it will be a problem for him in the future (because of the backlash of the evictee's friends), but that he (Roddy) can prevent veto from being used. He is prepared to sacrifice Lisa. He points out that many of the alliances that have people upset, don't exist anymore. He is suggesting Josh in a subtle way, as an obvious choice. Gerry doesn't disagree. In fact, he agrees and makes no reference to the fact that he may have an arrangement with Josh. Roddy is masterful in flattering Gerry and being sincere. He says that he's tried to think of this from every direction. Gerry seems to be accepting Roddy as a wise and impartial advisor. Roddy talks of future considerations "If I have something in the future (HoH) we can talk again" Gerry seems to now be admitting that he is committed to Lisa but is undecided about the second. Roddy continues to slip in shots against Josh and his history with Gerry and his playing the game all the time. He councils patience, because what he does now could eliminate all chance for Gerry to win the game. Roddynow drawing out Gerry and asking him how he sees things going in the next few weeks. "I've tried to think about it and I just don't know". Roddyis now flattering Lori and saying that he got to know her pretty well and had great respect for her, and he feels sorry for her going. Admitting that he is prepared to sacrifice Chi, and that that won't change him asking her out for many dates. He is playing into a fear of the girls getting together and being a real threat. Roddy is saying that if he gets to the end and has to rely on one person's word, it would be Gerry's. He says he will say nothing against Josh (but he has). He gently draws out Gerry on Dani and they agree that she is a threat. Now he is appealing to Gerry's education by trashing everyone because they don't accept new information and only want to talk about TV and celebrities. They don't want to talk about ideas.

F 4: Lights out at 1:45 BBT. Gerry says, "I worked as an actor for 15 years" He later corrects that to 13 years. He was in two companies that won Tony awards back to back. Now talking education and learning disabilities and how to overcome or approach those problems. Roddy talks of his childhood dyslexia. F 1 & 2: Elsewhere, Marc and Jason talk in HRD but camera switches to Eric and Lisa in bed together. They are talking about their relationship. Lisa is concerned about what Eric really wants from her. She is getting mixed messages when he seems to hold her off in public and has suggested that they cool it in front of others. Meanwhile, he is happy to snuggle with her in private at night. (is she finally getting a clue, or is she just being insecure). On her request, Eric inspects the bandage on her butt to be sure it is secure and is covering everything. Camera switches back to the HRD. Chi and Jason appear to be sharing the big bed (it's hard to be sure, because he is sitting up on it drinking a coffee). Marc has the bed by the door. Unimportant chit-chat. Jason appears about to excuse himself to go to bed elsewhere. He politely refuses a chance to rub Chi's feet. Dani and Eric in bathroom. Eric is bad mouthing someone (Josh or Gerry, probably Josh). He reports that Lisa's butt is much better. It hurts far less, but they have given her the option to still take the Codine at bedtime. Lisa is apparently reluctant to do so because she doesn't want to look like a pill-popper. Eric was about to say how he argued against that - but we got FOTFH instead. F 3 & 4 is still Gerry and Roddy talking, but it is general stuff now. Just harmless story telling. Back to F1. Everyone in the HRD is getting read for bed. Some concern about where Jason is going to sleep. Dani suggests that he and her alternate nights in her bed or on the floor. He is going to sleep in Lisa's old bed. No one wants to sleep in Gerry's old bed. Jason is now rubbing Chi's feet and telling a story. "Jason? Stop talking and rub" Talking about their mutual crushes on each other and how he is helpless against her appeal. A few more ribald comments follow That's it for me. No nudity, no sex, no violence, and little likelihood of any happening. TTFN

Wow! Jo and R in backyard talking, Josh said he's only made an offical DEAL with R and E...lied. He has made a DEAL with Gerry. Basically, he's lying
through his teeth to R. R trying to get more info out of him. Josh may be slipping. R telling Jo about his earlier convo with G about seeing tapes and lying. Jo agreeing. R and Jo discussing how Lisa is not involved in any alliances, coalitions, Jo saying that's bad. R hopes they don't play the same game for HOH. Says it's interesting, but he doesn't want to study everyone's lives. J saying he's doing whatever he can to save R and E til the end. R saying M thinks everyone is out to get him. Then says perception is reality here. J thinks if it's between E and R, E would win if it's a tie. (america voting) Saying there's 8 votes, he needs 5. You don't beat the firefighter (b/c sept. 11), R mentions his hating humans thing. He says if it comes down to that, J will vote for R. 4:am Josh and Roddy have been talking by the hot tub
They mainly have been confirming their loyalty to each other. Josh and Roddy were talking about the final vote and which housemate would vote for whom. Josh says that there is no way Roddy could beat Eric, since it will be two weeks after the anniversary of 9/11. If there is a 4 to 4 tie the vote will go to the public and America will vote for the fireman. They have been going over voting scenarios for the past half hour. Josh says Roddy's only hope is the take him to the finals. Josh says there could be a backlash on Roddy since he controlled the game throughout the show. And he wouldn't get the five votes needed to win 500K. They finally go in around 4:11 am house time. They go to the bathroom. They are now talking in the living room. They are now talking about Amy's vote. Amy will vote for Josh in the final.(ed. These guys are so confident.) They say Amy wants Dani to win in the final. Roddy says the last week is going to be fun. They are assuming Lisa is gone this week. Josh is talking about the final. There is no way Roddy could beat Jason or Dani. Eric would be a close vote. Josh is saying Lisa is gone. But the devistating blow next week would be if Roddy and Eric were nominated. By the only possiblity Marcellas. Roddy says if he is nominated, he feels people would use the opportunity to get him out of the house. Josh says that is where he comes in. He says he is a master spin doctor. He is as good as Bill Clinton is spinning things. Roddy says when it gets down to three the house will be like this quiet. Roddy says he doesn't want to get lost in the pack. He wants to finish near the top of Big Brother at least. Josh says it is nice to have a Gerry and Marcellas to put up. Roddy was wondering who Amy did not like. Josh says Chiara, Gerry, Tonya, and Lisa. Roddy says when he walks by the wall he sometimes wishes there were less keys. THE ONE THING RODDY IS SCARED OF IS IF THEY MAKE HIM LIVE IN A HOTEL ALL SUMMER. Josh says he would bring Merritt. Roddy comes out of the bathroom. He talks with Josh in the living room. They say there only get $750 a week. The show is cheap. They are very concerned about the prize structure. So, there is no way they have houseguest still locked up in hotel rooms. That would be tying them up for the summer for peanuts. Roddy says he cannot begin to imagine Lori is stuck in a hotel room. Jo and R are talking about the different combinations of who will be put up and in which order. Jo wants to make it to week 6. His friends didn't think that he could make it to 6 weeks because of the way he acts. Jo is pretty sure that Tonya won't vote for him if he lasts until the finals. They move into the LR since it's cold. More talk about who will be put up in what combinations. R is worried that M will put him up if M gets HOH. Jo and R agree that G will be put up with the safest person in the house within the next couple of weeks. R expressing that he does not care much if Kiki is put up for noms. He says that he was made to feel like he was doing something wrong if he even spent a little time with A. Jo saying that if he gets voted out, he wants Merritt in his hotel room. R is wondering if Jo can do that. R adding that it would be terrible to be in a hotel room for 10 weeks. Jo doesn't think that the show will do that since it costs a lot to stay in a hotel. R says that it wouldn't be fair for the HGs who are voted out to be put in a hotel and earn as much as someone who stayed in until the end, but didn't win. Jo says that the show people can take the t.v. from his room as long as he could have Merritt. R wonders if you get to watch the BB3 shows in the hotel once you get voted out. Finally, R and Jo agree that BB3 would not sequester them in a hotel for the remaining time of the show since the show is so cheap. They get the cheapest brands of everything so the show would not be able to afford all those weeks in a hotel. They calculate that it would cost the show about $1000/person per week to keep them in a hotel. Finally, Jo and R got to bed.

G will reveals first food items. 2 minute limit - Like "Name that tune" Eater will bid 'I can eat 2 cheeseballs in 2 minutes' - Bidding will go on until someone challenges the high bidder to eat that food. Food Competition
The HG's were divided into 2 teams of 4 each. Red Team - Chi, Rod, Dani, and Josh. Blue Team - Eric, Lisa, Marcy, and Jason. The competition was to challenge another member of the opposite team to eat an amount of something decided by bidding (ie. I can eat 5 in 2 minutes, and the other person bid a # higher than 5 until one decided to challenge them to do what they bid). First up, Lisa and Chiara, the food... Brussel Sprouts! Lisa ended up challenging Chi to eat 12 Brussel Sprouts, Chi didn't do it in the time alloted (2 min.) Blue team 1 point. Next up, Josh and Jason, the food Twinkies, Josh challenged Jason, Jason completed the challenge, Blue team 2 points. Next up, Dani and Eric, the food, jalapeno stuffed olives, Eric challenges Dani, Dani completes the challenge. Red team 1 point, Blue team 2 points. Next up, Roddy and Marcy, the food, chicken livers (fried). Roddy challenges Marcy, Marcy gags through the entire challenge but manages to pull it off. Blue team wins the competition.

This food comp will split house to have and have not's Welcome to G's BB Diner You're not only allowed to eat all you can but it is in your best interest to do so. Sheer determinaion and iron guts determine who will win a week of BB cuisine. (FOTH. G rinses and repeats a portion of intro and rules) Rules: Teams wihich won coin flip (red) start by selecting eater. Blue team then picks eater to go head to head w/red team eater. Team sends eater to table. Yuur host will reveal the first food item. Time limit to eat is 2 minutes. Blue since they lost coin flip, wil make first bid (ie. I can eat 3 cheese balls in 2 minutes.) Red can make counter offer Bidding goes on til one eater tops the other eater (ie. Red outbids blue team, red challenged to eat) Eater given item to eat, if completed team get a point Eater must swallow all the food before time, open mouth to prove nothing is left. If player blows chunks, opposing team gets point. If player fails to finish, opposing team gets point Game continues while remaining players alternate chooising first eater Bidding start with team that lost. You can serve as eater only once even if you were outbid. Game lasts for four rounds with five tiebreaker round if needed. Only then you can choose someone which already ate.
