chi and li are talking in the hrd while roddy with audio situations himself in the ht. not the best thing to do after a meal (heat and all - but if i told him this hed have some 1000 word speech about how its actually beneficial). ro said when did they start providing cocaine to the hgs? ja jokes in the Am. choise voice "the house guests are in need of cocaine.." di was giggling and laughing as she came out to jump into the hot tub. ja abstains from htup. ro says if you werent married D, id have so many flattering thigns to say. she giggles and said im married. ro starts quoting walt whitman... there is nothing that a married woman likes more than a single man ... audio fuzzes and i chide myself for not being as smart as roddy with quotes... ill ask g. Di and Ro and ja make typical howling laughing. ro jokes about lack of tanning and that it went down drastically since To left .. he jokes as T saying "eight hrs of tanning folks now" now ro talks about pbj diet and shock of switching back to reg food their talk is muffled but i am catching talk about their shock of being in the bb house and also some of the early shocks they had being there. ja joins in the tub silently now the talk goes into drugs . di asked if she did drugs.. she says never did drugs. ja talking about how he thought almost all people tried it. he says i may have seen a joint and how friends go smell that weed and he doesnt know the smell. ro starts talking about how it smells almost like leaves in fall burning. plane going by loudly. di says drinking is a dif story but i dont do drugs. speaking of drinking i need a beer. posting

roddy singing auld lang syne saying friends were trying to sync orgasm during sex at the stroke of the new millenium. before he was going on about how loser people do coke and stuff ( funny that chi had admitted she was into it to him earlier). hes leading the convo as always. more falsetto trombone auld lang whatever the heck it is. g has joined the group ro comments on the enthusiasm level of the guests at the halfway point. ro says he needs to soul search about E possibly coming back. they agree again that E has an advantage for being last to be evicted. G is smart saying we can conjecture all we want but we dont know what twists there will be. Ja says there will be a week of safetey (ala last year where there was no eviction thing)... but that it would be for the rejoining hg. because it couldnt be fair that they come back and boom nominated and totally out of the house just as fast as coming in. basically the mood is like forget the returning person because they were out. and say people might even choose to keep josh over the returnees.. they balk and he says you know what i mean tho. talk about BB secrets before show and contracts and stuff and then FOH (yes i prefer FOH to FOTH hee hee posting fast) feed returns and talk starts about unfairness of returnees coming back. they are refreshed and ready to kick butt and the ones there all along are grumpy. they are supposing about perhaps they can see the votes? they dont know and i dont believe that they havent seen it.. but lets trust bb. anyway, they are refreshed and its like a clean slate. almsot like a brand new unknown person coming in. They are looking for shooting stars (did Roddy lecture on the frequency of them at this time of year and at this latitude?).
They complain that the lights that allow us on the Internet to see them, keeps them from seeing the stars. Gerry comments that next week should be interesting. Lisa says just don't rub it in my face (their holiday). Gerry says, "Amy would do that" Back to the shooting stars; from something that Lisa said, it appears that BB may have told them there would be some tonight. The 4 others, less Josh are playing cards at the table. There are constant sounds from them, but no words can be made out. Roddy returns, and they both brag about the high numbers of shooting stars they have seen. Roddy doesn't believe it for a second. "like fishing in a swimming pool" he says.

Gerry speculates about getting a sling shot to blow out the lights (so they can see).
They agree that that would result in a penalty nom, and probably PB & J for the rest of their stay. Gerry tells a story of a poet who had a stroke and was worried about his abilities. He wrote a poem immediately, and it was horrible. The poet was overjoyed, because he recognized that it was terrible. Gerry has to explain the implications of that. However, the use of the word "stroke", naturally reminds Roddy of a topic (the double or triple entendre of the word "stroke"). Fascinating. Now, Roddy is telling a story from a book by James Michner about a trip overland to Alaska.

Just checked on the card game. It seems to be more talk of movies and movie stars,
mostly between Chi and Marc. Dani contributes, but Jason is strangely quiet - even for him. Back at the observatory, Roddy is holding forth on the history of astronomy and science and thought. I actually enjoy Roddy's stories - so shoot me. This story was apparently inspired by his uncle Hank and his quest for knowledge.

Gerry talks of a visit from a friend to him in NY and how he took him to the top of the Empire State Bldg,
where they made Martinis and watched the sun rise. This turns to a discussion of missed opportunities. Roddy brings up Josh and how he has overplayed and his leaving is no accident. Roddy talks of how different the game would be if they were all stock brokers and other highly motivated and competitive people (they would all play like Josh). Lisa talks of the destiny of the game. Their being there, and the winner is meant to be, and what they will each learn. She also tells of how each person in the house is like someone in her life that she has issues with or needs to deal with. (Gerry is her uncle Gerry, Dani represents her Mom, she refuses to say who Roddy represents). Roddy talks of the relative importance of things, like the fact that if you died, (Princess) Diana wouldn't even know about it. (deep stuff). Roddy comments that the card players haven't mentioned them once. He also talks of the cult of celebrity, and how shallow it is (another reference to the card players?). Then he talks of really starting to like Amy. FOTFH We come back to the card game, but I don't care.

Roddy telling L/G about when he began to be scared (in a game way) of Josh
Roddy and Lisa talk about Josh telling them about his scam job. He sold nothing (they claimed to sell supplies, but shipped empty boxes) over the phone. He was bragging that he could sell anyone anything. R comments that it probably wasn't a good thing to share there. Chiara comes over, asks what they're talking about. She says it a "red light", they are calling Josh a con man. Now Gerry talking about his weird job - redcorating for cash in Dallas. Gerry lived in Dallas for a couple years while in college. He's now talking about how hot and cold it is there. How once the temp dropped 50 degrees when a "northerner" blew in. Gerry says he loved TX. Gerry talks about his degree helping him become a teacher. Roddy jokes that when her becomes Emperor he's going to do something about that (teachers...something I missed). The cameras simply switched roles. F 1 & 2 are now the Bball court, F 3 & 4 are the card game.
BB wants us to get our money's worth. Opps, back to the original orientation. I was distracted watching a Buffy re-run. There have been several FOTFH's, and now all feeds are on the Bball court. Maybe Dani has been singing too much and BB has taken pity on us by cutting her off instead of us. Roddy and Lisa now reviewing Josh's stories of the jobs he has had that were shady, and how he bragged that he could sell anyone anything" Roddy feels that the house is probably the wrong place to say something like that. Chi comes over and asks if they (Roddy) wants something. She, naturally, asks what they were talking about Roddy reminds her of Josh telling those stories, and she has the same reaction (of how weird and inappropriate that was) Chi seems to have left and Gerry is now telling a story about something (sorry, I missed it and now there is a FOTFH) Gerry is now talking about Texas (the previous story was inspired by Texas too) Talks of the extreme and rapid temperature changes in Texas and that there are no mountain ranges between Alaska and Texas to stop the weather from moving straight down to the Gulf. Dani, Chi and Marc have joined the group on the Bball court. I can't see Jason.
Dani is telling some story that I missed the start of (she is recapping the last Survivor show). (I took some time to catch up on the PX). Dani is recapping fairly completely and accurately (she gets all the names and personalities and events right). If she is this much into Survivor, I bet she knows far more about BB than she admits to. She is being very funny and getting a good response from everyone. She continues to dominate all conversation, but on the other hand, no one else seems to be contributing except to ask questions. Jason has arrived and he is now contributing stories about Cleopatra (Survivor). Roddy says he can listen to stories about the lazy girl all night. (Gerry and Roddy get down on all 4's and pretend to be paddling the barge as Dani [representing Cleo] sits on the lounge and tells the story of her arrival on the island - very funny) Dani goes to get a towel to tell another story and says "hope I get the clean one, don't want to upset Monica" (This is really entertaining, but I can't capture it - I hope you all saw Survivor)

"The only reason it spilled over onto everyone else is because he kept saying so-and-so said. - well let's ask them" (I am watching on the Quad - the sound and camera 1 just moved to Josh shuffling cards alone in bed - nice contrasting, but give me back the damn sound of Roddy). I switch feeds to get the correct sound, but the moment has passed, I think. They are laughing, but I can't tell what it is about.

Roddy talking about his plan in coming into the house.
He intended to not swear or tell sex stories. He was so polite that first night that he was boring. Jason says that "we were all boring that night" Gerry talking about the tree game and asking how long that lasted. Others agree 4 or 5 hours. Someone, Jason I think, says, "and the ones inside had the whole game figured out by then" General humorous rehash of the tree game and first night. About Amy's stupidity in drinking a beer. Roddy fantasizing on the returning HG, but Jason thinks the competition for them is already done. Jason says that the returnee had better have brought back a gift for everyone in the house. Now talking about booze. It started as a wish that the returnees bring booze, now it is drinking stories. Roddy goes to put on the HT top and Gerry runs to help him. There are starting to be yawns all around. Marc says "bedtime for the HRD" The boys have left and the girls are moving the furniture back to where it belongs. (Moving furniture is woman's work, right?). Lisa is going to stay for a while, and wants her chair left alone. Dani thinks they have to move it because the sprinklers will come on later. Lisa says she is too tired and comfortable to move. Chi goes over to her and says "can I help?" Lisa and Chi seem the only ones left outside. Chi remarks that the lights have just gone down (in the house) and Chi thinks that is earlier than usual. They move the chair and all go in. It is dark inside, but I can see Marc in his white robe getting a glass of water and a snack. Roddy is also there. They discuss that Survivor is "bigger than us". Switching to Quad until they settle down. Jason is sleeping in the HRD tonight, and is already in bed. Roddy sits on the foot of his bed to chat about food and how much they ate that night. Dani is cleaning her face in the HRD mirror. Lisa comes in and is playing with her clothes under the bed. Marc arrives and sits on his bed. Meanwhile, someone is in the kitchen. Now Chi and someone (probably Roddy). The lamps are on in the HRD, but out in the rest of the house. Roddy has returned to the HRD and Chi now arrives to say "I've decided that the reason we all prefer to talk to John (BB) is because he is the only one we have seen. We know what he looks like" Lisa agrees and says "we've developed a relationship with him" BB does not agree with this talk - FOTFH.

The feeds came back and Roddy started to whisper something that I didn't catch.
BB did - FOTFH. F 3 is Josh playing solitaire by himself by the table lamp by his bed F 4 is presumably Gerry with a blanket over his head trying to sleep F 1 & 2 are the HRD, containing everyone else. The regulars are all in bed, except Dani who is sitting on hers. They talk of Marc's snoring, but he tries to blame it on Jason. Roddy reports that Jason snored last night in the HoH and he had to put a pillow over his head. Talk of Dani's teeth grinding being worse. Jason brings up Gerry's snoring being sooooo loud. Won't these damn people settle down and talk of treachery - come on Roddy and Chi, get the F out. Now we talk of Dani's fart last night and we have a new general topic - this could go on a long time, with such a juicy topic (pun intended). The other feeds are much the same, but Josh is stuffing his earplugs in and has now settled down to sleep.

It's slumber party time in the HRD. Roddy/Chi included. They just don't seem to want the others to be on their own to think or the fight was a great
tension reliever. Mars just ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Main topics: farting, snoring, and grinding teeth. Mars claims he never snored until he entered the house. Talking about how loud Lori snores...being compared to a man or a sailor. They are telling Jason that when he gets tired, he gets cranky. At first he denies it, then mentions that he slept on a cot last night, but is just tired, not cranky. They all seem to be trying to fall asleep, but Chiara is still there and perky. Lisa is playing cards by herself on cam - 4 Roddy is in bathroom area and just blew his nose on cam -3...timed out, and so will I. (Night Night)

Somehow, Lisa has escaped the HRD. She is sitting cross legged in the dining room shuffling cards.
(nice legs, Lisa). She is yawning and making no real attempt to play cards, she is just turning them over in her hand and seems to be sorting them, perhaps by suit. Roddy comes out and sounds like he is brushing his teeth. Lisa says that there is just too much excitement in there and she wanted to be alone. He offers to talk with her, but she says "no, that's all right". The camera switches to a longer view, and it is very dark in there. Now, BB has turned some of the lights on in the area. Camera switches to the bathroom and Dani with Roddy. I switch feeds to see if the HRD has settled down enough to talk about something interesting about the game. Marc is saying that the best thing about voting day is that once you vote, you get to sleep. Things are quieter now, but people are moving in and out a lot. Dani asks if there was this much kissing in BB2. (I think in response to all the polite kisses goodnight from Roddy and Chi) Marc says that Hardy and Nicole loved each other and that Will turned her against him. Jason is not really correcting the facts. Dani says the problem was that Hardy got HoH to many times. She laments that she has never had it. Jason wishes her well so that she can get hair treatment as a treat. Marc starts a mantra to himself (well, not enough to himself) "I must get up and brush my teeth" Lisa finally comes in. Dani expresses some concern for her but she says that she is OK. Apparently, some relationships in the house are wearing on her and it's difficult for her (to not say anything, to watch?). Marc grumbling about Gerry and wanting to jump up and do something bad to him "and cut off his feet as a trophy." Apparently, Lisa's problem is both watching the goings on AND not saying anything. Dani compliments her on diner tonight. Lisa says "I did do something good today, didn't I" Dani brings up the Josh fight. Lisa says she was so proud of Roddy for finally getting it out. Dani says "really". Lisa saying that she wanted some alone time outside today but someone wouldn't let her. She went into the HRD and it felt overwhelming and close in there. Dani lamenting that they haven't even reached the half way point, and they have to do this all over again. They seem to think they reach the half way point on Thursday. Marc returns from the Bath (I guess he broke down and brushed them after all). Marc talks about the aftermath of the fight when Josh cornered him and asked if he (Marc) meant all the things that he said about Josh. Marc says "What do you mean, do I like you?" "No, did you mean it all" Marc says he said "every word".

There is comment about Gerry having visited the room today and gotten on the bed with Marc. Lisa has had bad dreams about Gerry and him being on the (her) bed. She says that she washed the sheets today because of him being on it. She seemed quit concerned that he had been on the bed again, but Dani reassured her that he just sat on Marc's side. I'm assuming Jason is still there in his bed, but he is not participating. Dani asks how was Lisa's discussion with Gerry and Roddy outside tonight. Lisa says that is it was OK, but that Gerry was easier to follow than Roddy some times. Marc starts to talk about a date with a stud boy and he got sick on creme brulee (sp). More Marc dating stories that I can live without. Quick check of the Feeds. F 1 & 2 are as above. F 3 is Roddy and Chi spooning and asleep in the HoH. F 4 is Josh lying on his back with the covers up to his chin, presumably asleep, but he looks creepy (creepier than usual). He has moved an arm outside of the blankets and now just looks normal creepy. Back to the only sound in the house worth reporting (barely). They are now discussing the hottest male athletes. Marc suggests 1 or 2 wrestlers as possibilities. Dani doesn't consider wrestlers to be athletes. I don't think we are going to get any strategy talk tonight, and the window of opportunity for sex or nudity has passed. Time for me to call it a night. TTFN

There is some card playing, but it isn't clear who is actually playing other than Jason. Josh is working a plan against Gerry, saying that there isn't anyone in the house that wouldn't want to be standing beside him at the end. If he stays the next 3 weeks, he is here for a long time (to the end). He seems to think that it is a $450,000 mistake to keep Gerry because anyone would vote to save Gerry at the end, rather than someone who might have a chance to win. Lisa is her usual non-committal self. Others drift in and out, and the conversation ceases. Gerry now there alone with Lisa, advising her on how to clean the stove top. He is supervising while waiting for some popcorn in the Microwave.

Can you imagine if the Evicted HG thing was repeated, and the first EHG to return got evicted, then returned 4 weeks later, and was evicted AGAIN! Roddy is repeating his Forest Gump analogy that Gerry keeps falling into good luck. Josh says that he is disappointed in Roddy that he didn't put him up when he had the chance. Roddy explains that he did it because Gerry wouldn't put him up. Topic moves to the returning HG's. They think Lori should get a second chance. They question whether Amy has reverted to her old form (from the video), but that might just be the editing. Roddy reassures Josh that the tapes will confirm his good intentions toward Josh. Josh says that he knows, and that Roddy will never understand how he feels toward him. Roddy says he no longer thinks he can win this thing. Says it requires too much bonding, and that he can't pretend to be interested in things he isn't. Josh agrees, and complains that so much in the house is not about the game. Roddy says that he has tried to avoid HoH but will now go after it. Josh talks of his week to week deals to save himself, and that he always honoured those agreements. No one understands that it was week to week and not a life-long commitment. Keeping his work has come back to haunt him. Roddy shay he doesn't feel superior, but the Celebrity talk is non-controversial (and boring) and things will be calm for 3 weeks. He wants to stir things up. They talk about Gerry again. Josh thinks that he will stay, Roddy isn't so sure. They talk of putting up for emotional reasons and not for game reasons. Roddy has discovered that Lisa is a more interesting girl than he thought. Josh agrees and says that he has tried to talk to her, but that she betrayed him. Roddy laments that Marc has a free ride from Gerry because of the veto. Josh says not so much since yesterday. (plane passes over). Josh had earlier said that he couldn't talk movies, because he knows nothing about that stuff. Roddy agreed. Now they are talking movies and trying to figure out what movie a certain quote is from.

Astronomy class resumes tonight.
Gerry and Roddy are watching the sky and think that the star they see is the planet Venus. Gerry is saying that Uranus or Neptune were captured by the Sun later than the rest and that is why it rotates the opposite way from the others. They discuss the order of the planets and can't decide which is the outermost. Discussion of whether Pluto is really a planet. There are asteroids that are larger. 60% of the debris that enters the solar system is captured by Jupiter. Jupiter is a Sun that didn't work. If it had been a little larger, we would live in a binary system. Astronomy 101 changes to Gerry's exercise programme and progress. Gerry does a short recitation about George Armstrong Custer, then discusses what it is from. A helicopter flys over and Roddy says Francis Gary Powers for some inexplicable reason. Gerry informs us that FG powers used to fly a traffic helicopter, and that that is how he died. Roddy says, "Wow" Chi calls to Roddy and he joins her on the hammock. She says that she has decided that someone like her has a better chance of winning the game than someone like him. (There is more, but I can't improve on that as a place to stop)
