L, D, A, and R talking outside (long)
Coming into the middle of this. M and Ja playing cards at dining room table. Switching to outside feed: Li, D, and A sitting in hammock and R sitting in papasan. They are discussing G. Ro is saying that G participated in the celebrity and movie convo with most people. G discussed his teaching with Ro. A is saying that maybe G thought that Ro was the only one who was intelligent and didn't like the celebrity convos, so he would talk about teaching with him. R replied that G discussed his teaching with Ro from the beginning so it wasn't just strategy. He goes on to explain that it must be incredibly hard for a 52 year old man to come into a house with all these good looking men and women. He was trying to fit in which must have been terribly difficult. Ro goes on to explain that men have to put it out energy all the time, women attract energy. Men can disappear in a bar while women get hit upon. Out of 1000 tries, men might only get one hit. Li, D and A are silent. D finally says that she enjoyed her early morning convos with G. Those convos with G seemed sincere. Li says that she only had one of those types of convos with G. Ro asking whether they have great stories about moments in the house. A thinks he means a G stories. She tells about the moment G telling her that he was going to veto M. She was so relieved and that was a great moment. D and Li are surprised that that moment was her best moment in the house. A says that it's not her best moment, but her best moment with G. She has many, many better moments.

Ro says that the game is over (more)
They are discussing game strategy. Ro says that the game is so over. He was discussing it with Li earlier and they both thought the game was over. He goes on to explain that with this small group, if anyone starts to stir things up, the light would shine on them and they would stand out. A and D vocally agree and D says that the game playing is over. M comes out. Ro tells him that they were talking about good moments are in the house and M's name came up often. M is very pleased.

D goes into the house and sits with Ja and M. She is telling M that Ro is on a fishing expedition. M wonders why since his power structure is gone. D adds that "M's girl" is doing well outside talking with Ro except that she keeps interrupting all the time. D says that he has to go. D is hungry and warms up Lisa's stew to eat. They are worried that they will not get food this week. M is saying that maybe they will put a cow in the backyard and they will have to kill it for food. He would do it. They are laughing hysterically.

Still can't stop G bashing (long)
Ja is saying that he never saw the "bad" part of G. He thinks that G did make some big mistakes though. M saying that he should have just vetoed him with the racist speech. D says that it was not the thing to do at that point in the game with this group of people. Ja says that it was so nice that M broke down when G was leaving. It was so touching considering that M might have been gone if not for G. D pipes up that it was not true, the votes were not going that way and even the "devil" confirmed that the vote was changed to keep M. M is saying that he didn't know why he broke down since every morning when he woke up, he would tell himself that he would nom G. He wanted G out so badly. However, he would go into the DR and be so conflicted. He would say that he hated G, but didn't want G's family to hate him and go after him. Ja is just surprised that G lasted so long considering some of the comments he has heard that G made. M says that G pulled a Mr. Magoo and stumbled by. Ja replies that it was good for G since it helped him survive. D and M agree.

M says that he feels the work outs in the house. He doesn't feel the work outs in his regular life. Maybe he is working out better. He thinks he is looking better. Ja and D confirms that M looks better. M says that he likes the mirror on the ceiling in the HOH room since everything falls back and you look great. M was having a full on convo with himself in the HOH one day and G caught him. He was freaked that someone caught him talking to himself. M called to DR. Li joins D and Ja at the table. Li tells them about Ro assumption that she has had "Oprah" moments (D's term) with him. Li doesn't agree. D says that an "Oprah" moment is just when she notes to herself something that she should discuss with a person one-to-one later. Now Li understands. J, D and Li decide to get ready for bed.

D tells M that she just needs to listen to a little of Jill Scott's CD. She asks him to choose a good song for her. M is looking at the stuff in his basket and very thrilled with his goodies. When M comes back into the HOH, D asks M if he has ever been told he looks like his father. They look at his pictures and discuss whether he looks like his mother or father. The convo is interrupted when Ro yells in and tells them to come out and look at the moon. Everyone comes out to look at the moon. They think it looks like a moon from a horror movie. Everyone goes inside.

HGs are going to bed. D and Ja talk about going to the low rent district. A objects and says that she has NEVER been in a low rent area and is not going to start now. Ja tells D and Li that he is going on a fasting diet for the next few days since he finished all of M's cookies and has been eating a lot. Am joins the convo. They discuss exercising. Li suggests a rigid exercise session for Ja and A. A complains that she can't do that much since she is a beginner. Ja says that they will do it together.

D telling Ja, Li and A that her husband never bought her anything. Someone at his work told him that he would lose D if he didn't start buying her gifts. D says that her husband bought her pearl earrings for their anniversary. Then one day, he was very late coming home from work and she was extremely worried. He had gone to buy her the pearl necklace that he wanted to buy with the earrings, but couldn't afford it. M joins the convo. A says that she spent an amazing amount of money on a jacket for her boyfriend (10 month relationship) and he bought her a jacket worth 1/3 of what she spent. The guy didn't even buy the jacket himself, he sent his mom. A says that she has never received an anniversary, Valentine's or birthday gift from a boyfriend. Ja is amazed. A says that she doesn't have long term relationships. Ja tells A that is amazed that A dates such losers. He would think that she would get better dates given her personality in the house. She shouldn't settle for the losers. A says that she doesn't settle since she has been "single" most of her life. Ro has joined the convo at some point. During this Ja and Am convo, you hear M talking to D. He is telling D that gifts are that important although is last boyfriend was very wealthy. He never dates his contemporaries. He likes more established men.

D says that she received her food late for one meal and was so worried that she was going to break one of the rules. She begged to go back to her room where she felt safe and finally they let her. M says that he didn't let the hotel staff come into his room. He told the room service guy to leave the tray outside the door. He cleaned his own room and just told the maid how many new towels he needed. A never left her room, but was harrassed by the "mini bar" guy because he wanted to go in and check the mini bar.

Roddy's childhood story (more)
Roddy was having problems with his nasal passage and went to the doctor when he was 7. The doctor took the tweezers and pulled out this decomposing mother of pearl button from way up his nostril. Before the doctor discovered the button, Ro hasd always this habit of banging his head on the pillow before he went to sleep. His brother thought he was nuts. The doctor surmised that Ro was unconciously trying to get the button out of his nostril that he had put up there when he was an infant.

The whole gang is assembled in the lizard room chatting.
Roddy said that before the show, he did an Internet search for BB USA but couldn't find anything. He found European BB sites and they were all running around topless. This came out of a discussion of nudity in this house, and what might be on the Internet. They seem to agree that there will be a lot of pics of Roddy, because he is always dropping his pants. There is a subsequent discussion of searching the Internet for porn (I was reading the Updates and didn't follow this part, because I, of course, have no interest in Internet porn whatsoever). I did hear that Jason had not looked for (or maybe that he had never seen) any Internet porn. He says that he has probably been to sites where there was some, but he never saw it.

Most of the HG's have gone to bed. Lisa and Roddy were sitting on the bed by the lizard cage playing a game of solitaire
(more accurately, Lisa is teaching him the game). Earlier, when everyone was there but things seemed to be winding down, Roddy asked Lisa how she was feeling, and was she too tired for a game of chess. At that time, Lisa demurred. Now though, they leave the lizard room and go into the LR to start a game of chess. Amy is lying on her back in the HoH listening to a CD. Marc is in the bathroom. Dani and Jason are in their beds in the lizard room, presumably going to sleep, but the cameras are all elsewhere, so I can't report on whether or not they are talking now that Roddy and Lisa have left the room (is that paranoia to suspect that they might be talking when they are alone?)

Marc passes through the LR on his way to the HoH and asks if they found the missing piece of the chess set.
He accuses Gerry of hiding a chess piece as a joke. (I missed some of this because I went to check the Quad, and the sound of the LR is not available there). It seems that they didn't have any trouble finding all the pieces, and are questioning Marc about it. Marc seems to persist in the assertion that Gerry did that, but says that he must have changed his mind and put it back.

Snippets of Lisa - Roddy chat.
Roddy and Lisa seem to be doing more talking than chess playing, but I notice that pieces are getting moved somehow, even if I can't actually detect them playing. Roddy comments that everyone knows about the kid from last year (Will) and now thinks they have this game figured out. He even wonders aloud if he is falling prey to assumptions from last year. Roddy talks about how bad he felt for Gerry over the way his eviction was announced. He also talks of how hard it was for him to vote against Gerry, and that Gerry looked at him after the unanimous vote was announced. He felt sooooo guilty about not giving him a sympathy vote. I heard no explanation about why he voted against Gerry - perhaps it is unnecessary between them. Roddy was talking game stuff, but I was distracted. Somehow, he figures that they have a 40% chance of being put up. The logic seems to be that Marc cannot be nominated, and she (Amy) won't be put up. Somehow that results in a 40% chance for each of the remaining 4. The conversation changes. I don't know if the first chess game was completed or not, but they just reset the board. Lisa said something about "you were distracting me". I didn't hear Check or Checkmate, so, they may have just got lost. I don't think chess is the primary objective tonight, for either of them.

Here's what I think happened on the chess games cause I too was listening more than "watching". There were at least 2 games completed. In one of them Roddy was saying he had this and that planned, doing a little "teaching" and suddenly Lisa Won! He said, "i can't do anything. I can't believe it but i can't do anything." (this may smack of commentary but I couldn't help wondering, "did he let her win?")

my interpretation of the 40% is that it is accurate but
He means if you are not evicted this week you will be one of the final 5 and since 2 of the 5 reach the finals you have a 2/5 or 40% chance of reaching the finals. Another explanation could be that you have a 40% chance of being put on the block since Marcellas has to put up 2 of the 5 people.

I'm sure he was talking about this week, but he may have meant the finals.
In either case, he specifically ruled out 1 person other than Marc, because he said "she won't be put up". 40% doesn't work for any combination of the remaining 4 players. Perhaps he misspoke himself, and 4 people became 40%.

Throughout this conversation, Marc and Amy are in the HoH, and I think the door may be open. In any case, Marc wanders through a couple of times to go to the kitchen or bath. All the conversation is whispered, but not like it is a secret, just like they are being considerate of others and being a little private. Roddy talks about trying to figure Lisa out and predict what she is thinking and feeling. There is some mumbo-jumbo, and I may have missed a transition, but Lisa says, "So far, everything that you have verbalized to me has been right on." There is no follow-up from either of them and they talk about chess strategy and style. Lisa asks, "Did you get a little teary eyed earlier in the papasan?" "What are you talking about?" "I don't know, I just thought you were." Again, no further follow-up. Lisa asks, "When you have girlfriends, are you comfortable giving compliments?" "Ya, why do you ask?" (This is clearly one of those girlie test questions that are asked of potential mates.) The topic comes up and goes away several times, but it is always Roddy that returns to it. The gaps are for chess play and long silences. There was little said at the initial asking of the question - maybe Roddy was stalling to collect his thoughts. Lisa is happy, she just won her first chess game. She is very excited, and says so several times. "That is incredibly great" says Roddy.

I won't even try to record Roddy's expression of his feelings and his thoughts on dealing with women and emotions. I'm not a girl, but it sounds sincere enough to work, and probably be true. There is stuff in there about commitment is forever, and honesty, and other good stuff. Lisa says, "That's not Eric at all" I don't know exactly what part she is referring to, but it sounds good for Roddy. They aren't even pretending to play chess again. Roddy remarks to Lisa "That's why you turned out so awesome." (they were talking about upbringing and how the family affects your attitudes to relationships later on. Lisa is saying very little, but she must have made a comment about her family that I missed) Roddy wraps up and apologizes for being so long-winded. Lisa says, "When you talk, you take me away with you" She says she is referring to all his serious conversations, whether about relationships or science or what ever he is passionate about. She is really enjoying this, which is, I suspect, different from her conversations with Eric, and it is certainly a dramatic change from the reaction he got from Chiara when he tried to talk about serious things. This goes on for a bit, and it is very good for Roddy (not so good, I think, for Eric - and that might not be so good for Roddy with the jury - win some, lose some) Amy comes out to visit, and is very quiet. She participates politely in the conversation and doesn't try to dominate. Lisa and Roddy play another game. Roddy wins, and Amy makes an excuse for Lisa to the effect that she let him win. (She has just recently told her of her great pride at winning her first game). Lisa goes off to bed, and Roddy stays with Amy. Amy is still whispering respectfully, but is talking about Bucky, so, I think it is time for me to follow Lisa's example. (if only I could follow Lisa to bed, but that's another matter). TTFN

I hate updating, rather play in the PX but no one is holding down the fort so I guess I'll try... For a long time Roddy and Amy talk about Roddy moving down south for a while. Talk about property values and the like. Roddy says his apartment has no furnishings...but none of this matters...now to what you came for... Roddy telling Amy that it bothers him than she doubts his authenticity, not is a game sense just who he is. Asks hers "should I treat you like crap every once in a while to make me more real?" Amy says no, and in a long round about way agrees and makes ammends. Amy now tells Roddy what a nice guy he is and that she see what he is trying to say and she understands. Roddy pouring on the charm...Amy keeps saying that is so nice to what he is saying. Says wow...no one ever said anything like what you have said to me before...she says this over and over again. They are having a moment and Amy even tears up a little. She says thank you several times and they hug and hold each other for a long time...they release they hug Amy tears up again...says thank you so much again and they hug again. Roddy is laying on the couch and Amy is sitting on the floor resting her head on the couch by his waist... Note: I could have sworn I heard Amy say during their talk that she wants Dani out so bad. Roddy said if you pay attention to what is going on you will see who the threat is. Amy said I see it that's why I am here...I cannot verify the accuracy since I wasn't taking notes and it was mid way though all this, but I thought I would pass it along.

Food comp rules and coverage.
Mars calls them all back into the living room for the rules. Called sweet surprise. Will determine the number of days they eat regular food and the number of days of pb&j. They need to find the 7 day medalians. They have 90 seconds to do so. Each day medalian is a full day of food. Rules: 1 game is 90 sec 2 find as many day medalians as possible 3. each day medalian buys food for that day 4 any day medalian not found results in pb&j for that day 5. game begins when whistle blows. First, to the backyard. The girls tie their hair back and everyone gets by the back door and we get foth Mars says slight change of plans. Everyone must enter the map room. They get the door unlocked and see a room full of tarts. BB asks them to close the door behind them. Mars says the medalians are inside the tarts. They have to find them and put them on the corresponding day. Dani found tuesday. Roddy says he got another one. Jason just found one. Mars is whining. Blurry pics on the cams. Someone else got one. Sundays has been found. Jason says they are only missing two. Roddy keeps asking how much time but no one answers him. BB just says 30 seconds. Roddy says he got one and Mars says he got the other one. They go to put them all up, Jason counts and they got all 7!!! Everyone is covered in tart goop. Now they are throwing the tarts at each other. FOOD FIGHT!!!!! BB is just letting them smash tarts all over each other.

After successfully completeing the food comp, the HGs had a good, old fashion food fight. rodyy seemed to really be enjoying himself. There was much screaming, laughing. The fun stopped for everyone to search for Amy's ring. M comments that it's like a bad porn movie. D finds A's ring. A is saying thank you, and Roddy and Jason sneak up and dump lots of pie gunk over her head. Now they go after Dani and she says "It's on now!" The fight resumes. (ed. After the food competition
Roddy still washing off. Everyone else if drying off with towels, standing around. I think amy lost her ring again. She and M are walking around the shower looking on the ground. Roddy finishes, Amy looking around the shower platform now. M comments that teh yard is getting flooded. Roddy washing out shorts, hangs them up. Jason and Dani are lying by the pool. M joins them. I can see Amy reflected int he windows - walking around bent over. Amy joins the group by the pool. Jason saying her feels queasy. Roddy says it smells like "baby throw up." Amy and Jason talk about wanting to go in and take a shower. Roddy is doing something on the shower stage, the others keep telling the camera to look, but it doesn't. Dani and Jason talk about the supposed nominations.
Dani seems to think she knows what Marc will do. (I just got here in the middle, so I don't know who she said). Jason says, "if that is true, I'm going to bust out on Roddy in front of everyone." Dani says no, don't do that unless you know for sure, you don't know when he made the deal. Dani: this is our last opportunity. Jason: Then I'm going to ask him to put me up on the block. No, don't you do it. Long silence. Jason: I didn't want to politick this week. If he does what he says, the POV can screw it up. Which ever one of us gets POV can take her off and that one of us is safe, and then it is Lisa. Dani saying it's on, time to play. Jason runs the numbers and says that after the POV, there are only 2 people can put up in her place, and that gives us a 50-50 chance of getting what we want. If there's ever a time for him to listen to you, I hope he listens to your now. Marc comes out, and the conversation changes.

After Marc leaves. Dani calls repeatedly to Lisa off camera to see if she is sleeping (or listening).
Lisa makes no response, so, she is sleeping (or playing possum). Dani says to Jason, that if we veto someone, then he will have to put up You or Lisa. Jason thinks that something is going on that they don't know about but that the nominations will expose it. More chit chat, until Dani says that she is going to go talk to him about it. Jason agrees, but the ensuing conversation is about who will shower first, so, I don't think the summit meeting will be immediately. They talk about the smell of baby vomit. Jason thinks it is similar to the pie smell and Dani questions what he knows about the smell of baby vomit.

Jason told Dani that the shower is free because he just saw Amy go by.
(He isn't watching the Quad feed, or he would know that Lisa was already in it). Dani thanks God and leaves for the bath. Amy goes into the lizard room in her towel. She gets a top out of the dresser and walks into the corner. She speaks to the camera and asks, "Will you let me put on a shirt? Please?" (why do they think that they control the cameras?). The camera stays on her but she turns to the wall and pulls on a T-shirt successfully. She sits on the bed to put on her socks, then stands up and opens her towel. She flashes the camera, and it moves up slowly to give her some modesty (not fast enough). She realizes what she has done, sighs and looks up at a different camera in an angry way, as if it is the camera's fault. She collects herself and her stuff, and walks out to the bath so that she can finish changing in the w/c. (not important stuff, but an amusing insight. They are aware of the cameras, but forget a moment later). Just showering and puttering around on all feeds. No conversation.

All feeds on Jason playing solitaire in the LR and Dani in the bath. All is silent in the house.
Dani goes into the dining room and whispers to Ja to the effect that she wants to talk. He puts her off because he is in a position to possibly win the game. She says OK, I'll go put on my Jewellery. They go outside. Dani says, "If he has a deal". (something about putting her up and trying to save her.) Jason is nervous about being seen together, so they pretend to play cards. She says that you have to leave the power to the one who has it. They need a plan B or C. They think it will be Amy and Lisa at the moment. The concern is that Marc has a deal with Roddy and won't put him up if they veto someone. He (Marc) is so stubborn, that he won't listen to reason. Jason is saying that Marc is foolish to put up Amy because she is such a great ally. Dani points out that "so was Gerry" Dani says that "there may come a point where they may have to make a deal with the devil if they can't get him out." Jason says that they have a 50-50 chance of going up in case of a veto, but next week, if veto is used there is only one person to be put up. So you want to be put up next week. Dani questions the last part, because she doesn't want to go up at all, but Jason meant that next week you would know for sure who would go up in your place. They get distracted by the card game and actually start playing it (earlier, they were distracted by the conversation and lost track of the cards - just like this house, always a distraction). Jason is feeling guilty about not putting up Roddy last week. He vows to go after HoH next week, if Roddy survives, and rectify that mistake. They agree that they should not make promises to anyone this week. "No one else knows about my deal with Roddy but you, Right?" Jason doesn't know. He questions Lisa's loyalty, but Dani says she's fine. She is here because of us, she's OK. They suggest 3 hours to nominations and it will be the longest 3 hours. Mostly card talk now.

Roddy has moved to sit on the counter behind Lisa, while she washes dishes.
There is no conversation at the moment, but I just got here. Amy has not moved from her place at the table. She is still slumped over and has her head in her hands. I don't know if Roddy ever spoke to Lisa, but there is still not talk and she seems to be ignoring him. Elsewhere, Marc and Dani chat about family and friends. A harmless and quiet chat. Dani seems to have adjusted her mood to match Marc's. She is more subdued now. Back in the kitchen, Roddy gets a glass of something and silently goes outside. Lisa continues washing dishes. Finally, Lisa says something like "do you want to talk?" Amy says that she expected this, but it was the speech that has her upset. Lisa sits down to sympathize. "The speech was harsh," says Amy. Lisa agrees. Jason comes in and excuses himself for interrupting, but there is no where else to go.

Amy just wants to have fun with the experience, but Marc is all about the game. He can't seem to separate the two. Lisa is very supportive and just lets Amy vent. Jason comes back and makes himself a cold drink. Amy now complaining about the double standard in the house, that it's OK for some people to do things, but not for other people. She says that she noticed it before she left the first time, and it is still the same. Jason sits down. Amy says that this just an occasion for another goodbye speech. They all joke about that. Lisa consoles Amy with the fact that Roddy's speech wasn't very nice either.

Everyone is extremely quiet, R compliments D on dinner she says nothing, L in baby voice says we need some music, didn't see it mentioned in the updates but L thinks R is mad at her but she attributes it to his being nominated not realizing that M told R that L came to him and told him R was campaigning for G to stay, HG's mentioning that POV is tomorrow, It just hits A how few people are in the house, L looks nervous for some reason while eating, D just finished her dinner & is now washing her dishes and the pots and pans, R and L get up and R compliments D again on dinner and she says a quick and low voice thanks, Ja is the only one at the table now eating, dinner seemed very uncomfortable.
