The dream of winning a million bucks instead of "only" half that amount was crushed for another Big Brother pair when Rachel Plecner was eliminated last Thursday, dashing her and her partner Howie's hopes. TVGuide.com got a chance to talk to the 33-year-old horse breeder before she was shipped off to the sequester house, and to ask her what she thought of this wild ride.
TVGuide.com: For a while there we thought you and Howie might make it to the end.
Rachel Plecner: I was hoping, too. But we made some big mistakes, and I paid the price for it.
TVGuide.com: Do you think the biggest mistake was voting out Sarah?
Rachel: Yeah. I left Howie alone, and he made some deals that he shouldn't have and put up James and Sarah. That was the biggest mistake we could have made.
TVGuide.com: I was very confused by Ivette's basic "good riddance" parting comments to you. Can you explain them to me?
Rachel: I cannot; I was as confused as you were. Although I will say that she has been a little bit angry this past week in the house. We've never had a conflict, ever. I don't know if it is a jealousy issue and she's just unhappy [or] maybe she's just angry. I don't know, but if she's got personal issues, she's going to have to deal with them.

| I'm having a GREAT time here! Being HoH this week has been a lot of fun, although I've missed a lot of that initial bonding being the first HoH with my room upstairs, isolated from everyone. That's why I've been sharing the HoH room. It's the best way for everyone to get to know me and hopfully like me. I think I am well like by the other houseguests at this point. Even though they see me as a tough competitor, not willing to give up the fist HOH competition and the way I fought to win the POV. I don't think the other houseguests are on to Howie and I and I hope they never figure it out. However, we are on to some of them...we think. This is who we think are "teamed up". Sarah and James, I think they're brother and sister. Ashlea and Janelle, April and Sarah, Kayser and Michael, Ivette and Beau, Maggie and Eric. Are we far off? I guess we'll have to wait until it's all over to find out. We had a great time with the camera...it gave us some much needed fun. Some of the houseguests have made up games, but mostly it's been Howie entertaining us that's kept us laughing until it hurts. He's the best and I love him. I can't wait until this is over so the others will know he is my friend. My time as HoH is almost up and I am a little nervous and excited to go downstairs with the rest of the houseguests. I am easily annoyed and I'm sure some of them will test my patients. But Howie and I are determined to stay out of radar range and let the rest of the houseguests bicker their way right out the front door. So far so good, I'm having a GREAT time here! Wish us luck! | Rachel was also at a loss to describe Howie's behaviour in the house over the last couple of weeks. Recognizing that she was the least emotionally stable personality in The Disciples Alliance, Howie had begun to target April with verbal onslaughts by insulting her family and her inability to win competitions at every opportunity. Howie has since abandoned the strategy. View Article: Here Discuss Here: BB Discussion Forum |

| Rachel Becomes First HoH Rachel Plencner, the 33-year-old horse breeder, became the first Head of Household on 'Big Brother 6' by outlasting the other HouseMates in an endurance challenge. Divided into two teams, the players first competed in a Food Challenge requiring them to stand on enormous surfboards and toss coconuts through the mouth of an idol. | Vicki Talks Rachel
Rachel also believes in fate, Gaddis continued. "Since she didn't pursue being on the show, since it just kind of fell into her lap, Rachel felt like maybe she was supposed to be there."
Still, the prospect of losing her job as a computer program analyst was daunting, Gaddis said. Plencner's company has promised to hold her job for five weeks, but no longer. If she does well on "Big Brother," Plencner could be in the house for up to three months.
And Gaddis thinks Plencner will do well. "Rachel has a great personality. And once she figures out what she wants, she's very persistent," Gaddis said. "She is a go-getter."
Gaddis pointed out that Plencner moved to Colorado without knowing anyone there. "I admire that about her," Gaddis said. "She's very adventurous."
