dan suggests them walking outside with their drinks. they laugh, but then talk about keesha's ex-bf who was mean.
dan says the number one thing he put down on his list of snacks is cheez-its.
dan is telling more stories about his sister, he's being very protective.
now they're talking about relationships... renny thinks that youth is wasted on the young and young beautiful women dont understand how powerful they are.
memphis says that beautiful girls need to realize that they are beautiful, and use it. because he says literally they can get anything they want from anyone they want... any guy, if they use it right.
dan jokes yeah like make someone wear a taken shirt.
dan asks keesha if she's ever felt that she's not beautiful?
keesha: of course! you guys are going to make me cry because it hits a chord, you know. of course.
dan: you know, I cant pretend to be you, but it's hard for me to understand... I mean... looking at you.
keesha: I know exactly what your sister is doing, because ive been there.
renny: ive been there too!
keesha: and it doesnt matter who tells you, it does not matter... if you dont feel it, it does not matter who tells you what.
dan: how did you get over it? (the bad relationship)
keesha: I met somebody.... I met JJ. I mean I knew it was coming to an end, it was pretty much over anyways, it had gotten really bad... thats all I'd say... and i was like what was I doing??
Dan: but you had to realize it right?
keesha: yeah, I had to realize it... *I* had to realize it.. my friends HATED him. everybody. I dont know one person who liked him. But I stayed. I broke it off, then I went back... back and forth... and I dont really know why. Now that I look back on it, I'm like I have no idea why.
Renny: but just because you're beautiful... I mean you can be beautiful and just so superficial! So, you know.
Dan: But Keesha... I mean Keesha's not that way, you know what I mean? Like... *he points at her*
Renny: Oh I know that SHE'S not like that.
Memphis: No I'm just saying that... yeah... when I say beautiful I don't mean just by looks, I mean the whole package. If you have the whole package you can get any guy you possibly want. There's no ifs ands or buts.
Renny: Yeah but you have to... you have to...
Keesha: Believe that.
Renny: you have to know who you are.
Keesha: Yeah I think sometimes you get... you know like you said, in a relationship where mentally it can be very abusive. because they break you down as a person.
Renny: I think you have to realize that you deserve a man better than that, and seek him out
Memphis: Yeah that makes sense.
Keesha: I dont know, im sure its different in every relationship. Cause I never had a self esteem problem, but I stayed with this guy who was... not good. And now I look back on it and go why in the world would I do that? but i did it. for a looong time.
renny tells a story about how she had relationships with no depth, they were mostly phyiscal and you think it's love but it isnt... keesha says sometimes its just convenience.
memphis: i just think a lot of people settle.
keesha: you're right i agree with you. If I could change anything about myself it would be not to drag relationships out because I always do that. Relationships that I dont want to be in, that I know wont work out, but I stay in.
Memphis: Its because you're kind.
Keesha: I really wish that I didnt drag them out...
Memphis: It is! it's because she's kind, she doesnt want to hurt anybody.
Renny says when you're used to having someone to love, you dont want to not have that... she said if her husband died she'd grieve, but she wouldnt want to be alone for the rest of her life so she'd find someone to love.
Memphis jokes... : well, we're loved by millions.
They laugh.
Dan: I was loved by 3 but you havent heard them around anymore.
Keesha: well no offense, but it was michelle who heard them.
