Letter from her Mom:
CH: Oh, this is from Mom, okay" sounding very surprised and then begins reading.
Dear Chima:
I wish you could have been here. Your Grandmother Florence was visiting over the 4th of July. We had a nice BBQ with ribs, beans and all the usual fare. Homemade ice cream with homemade sugar cookies were a big hit at dessert.
Your uncles and a couple of cousins were here, too. Of course, you and BB were the main topic of conversation!
It was nice having young ones running around the house, however, I was exhausted by the end of the day. Chima says, "That sounds like my Mom."
Bob (her Mom's BF) is recording all the BB shows, just in case. If you received this letter, you must have won HOH. Congrats! We are very proud of you. Remember to follow your dreams and your heart, but be realistic.
My new doctor. Then Chima says, "Well, I don't know . . ." Reads some quickly before deciding to read the rest aloud.
Chima stops, verklempt or catches herself and then tells the HGs, "My Mom's sick." Pauses then continues reading.
My new doctors have a new diagnosis, which bring me hope. I don't want to bother you with details. Things seems to be getting better. They have changed my medications and I seem to have more energy. Everyone's taking good care of me. Don't worry about me.
Concentrate on your game, and remember, Big Brother is watching!
Love, Mom
Natalie says it sounded surprising to hear from your Mom.
N: Weren't you expecting a letter from her?
CH: Well, no, because she doesn't have much energy.
She shouts out, "So thanks Mom." |
