Jeff and Cassi talked in the backyard by the couches in the corner. Jeff expressed his desire for team play to end, showing his disdain for the golden key twist.
Jeff: "Let's get the f*** to the final ten." He reasserted how hard it is with the golden keys. Jeff said that the newbies still see it as a split house (newbies vs. veterans).
Cassi mentioned that it's scary to face duos in Brendon/Rachel and Jeff/Jordan who came into the house with existing relationships. She said she just wants a fair fight.
Cassi said she doesn't want a "Britney thing" like BB12 where Hayden, Enzo, and Lane took her to the final four but then the guys looked out for each other.
Jeff said he doesn't like people playing both sides of the house. He noted that you have to get to the final eight in order to make it to a final four. Jeff told Cassi he wants to pick off the weaker players, but then it gives a key to their partner, which frustrates him.
Jeff mentioned that the dual setup makes it difficult where you might like one person on a team but then you have to plan for jury votes and it's difficult. Jeff said he's playing toward the final eight and that he doesn't want to look ahead beyond that. He said if he's voted out he'd prefer it to be via gameplay and not because of numbers.
Cassi said it's a complicated game. Jeff reiterated his earlier point that this season is even more complicated than normal and that cliques have been formed earlier than normal.
Jeff said he wants to roll with strong players but that you have to trust them, too. Jeff said he'd like to tell Cassi she's safe, but that he can't expect her to do that because her side (newbies) would be pissed.
Jeff told Cassi that, if she wins HOH, she will be "super persuaded" by the newbies to nominate a veteran duo.
Cassi mentioned that she adores Shelly, and if it gets to that point where it gets to "that side" (?) that she wants to play with people she can trust. Cassi said her biggest thing is wanting her and Shelly to make it to the final ten (where they can then play individually) and that she doesn't want to be in a position of having to campaign against Shelly.
Jeff told Cassi that he wouldn't want to put up Cassi and Shelly. Cassi responded that she's very careful on what she says to not make promises she can't keep, and that she wants to play the game with integrity. She said that it's difficult to do that; Jeff concurred and said he did it last time and it cost him.
Cassi said she now understands why Rachel cried so much on BB12 having to put people up, because it's tough.
Cassi: "The problem with that side (newbies), they're not thinking long-term." She said the newbies think it's smooth sailing because its numbers. She said that she knows the veterans will target the newbies because of the numbers.
Jeff said it wouldn't be just to the final ten, maybe the final eight, as far as them not going after each other.
Cassi told Jeff she's scared because she believes she and Shelly would have to "win win win" when the number of people in the house gets lower.
Jeff asked what would happen if the numbers weren't in their favor. Cassi was confused by the question at first. Jeff reworded it, asking if she'd prefer to get rid of the weaker people now. Jeff mentioned that there is an advantage for Daniele since she could team up with someone on the newbie side.
Lawon walked by and game talk stopped. Shelly came outside and joined them on the couch. Cassi noted that Shelly was in the DR for a long time and said that she (Cassi) hates going in DR.
Jeff told Cassi and Shelly that they aren't on his radar, but he asked them not to take it to their side (newbies). Jeff said they are the couple that he "doesn't want to touch" and for them to take it for what it's worth. Shelly: "It's worth a ton." Shelly added that, "with all of my heart", that Jeff/Jordan are the couple she doesn't want to touch.
Shelly added that it gets difficult when the numbers are low. Shelly noted that Jeff/Jordan are the same in real life as they were on BB11.
Jeff said that what he really doesn't want to happen is for one between him and Jordan to be voted out and the other to be stuck in there for a long time. Jeff said he and Jordan came to have fun. He said he wants to target weaker players.
Shelly mentioned that everyone can act fake and wear a mask for a few days but that eventually people's true colors come out. Jeff agreed; he said it's magic in here and that people get on each other's nerves after awhile.
Shelly called Big Brother a great human experiment; she said, until you get there, you can't understand. Shelly: "You truly are a mouse."
Cassi said the competitions are entertainment but that the real battle is the stuff in-between. Shelly said that, sooner or later, you have to win comps or you go home. Jeff mentioned that anyone can win HOH, since there is luck involved with some of them. He stressed the importance of social game.
Cassi said that they're on the same page (Cassi/Shelly and Jeff/Jordan). Jeff said again that he wants to make it to the point where if he doesn't win, he goes home, but where he has a chance to control it (versus the current setup with team play).
Jeff went back to his dislike for the keys, as it makes it tough to get rid of people he wants to see go. He played devil's advocate saying that people who have golden keys might be targeted for not having had to do as much to make it beyond the team play. Shelly pointed out that it's not fair to include Daniele in that, and Jeff said obviously not since what happened with Dick was outside of her control.
Shelly said the big problem in the house is people with big mouths. Jeff yet again said he's unhappy that people with golden keys can have immunity until the crew gets it down to ten.
Shelly asked if Jeff and Jordan knew the twist if they would have played. Jeff didn't answer directly; he said they (him and Jordan) thought it was just them entering to play as a fun twist and play individually from the start. Jeff believed they could schmooze their way to at least make jury.
Shelly added that it's surreal being in this house that she's seen on TV for many years.
BB called Jeff to the DR. When Jeft left, Cassi wondered if Jeff and Jordan knew that they (Cassi and Shelly) had engaged in similar conversations with Rachel and Brendon.
Lawon and Kalia walked over to Cassi and Shelly. Lawon said he is still awake because he napped earlier. Lawon complained about his pants being loose; Shelly pointed out that many of the guys have lost weight in the house. Lawon, holding his pants up, headed inside.
Whispering now, Kalia asked Shelly and Cassi how they are going to vote. Shelly and Cassi said they aren't sure who will be voted out: Keith or Porsche. Cassi said Keith will be an easy nomination when he'd be eligible for it after team play ends. Kalia said it's personal for her and Lawon since Keith did things against the two of them.
The three of them weighed the pros and cons of keeping Porsche versus keeping Keith. The consensus among the three is that they're both "messy players" but Cassi seems to be pushing for Porsche to go and to keep Keith.
Cassi said she talked with Lawon and that he said, after sleeping on it, he (Lawon) said he thought about what Cassi had told him and that Lawon thinks it may make most sense to keep Keith around. |
