Dan says if Danielle wins he would recommend her invest in real estate.
Essentially Dan is saying he spent his winnings on real estate. The market tanked when he won and so he bought dirt cheap real estate and is now still renting it out. He says he doesn't feel bad about leaving his wife because he knows she is being taken care of by this. He didn't say how much he paid for the houses but it's under $70,000.
He talks about how if you treat your tenant like crap, they'll treat your house like crap. And if the tenants call and say they can't make rent it's not because they don't want to, it's that they are in a bad situation and so he'll say either... okay catch up next month OR he'll pay them $200 to move out by next weekend just make sure the house is clean. He's not going to bring the marshal down, why would you treat someone like that? He says most people want to make good on their bills but some are struggling.
He spent $1000 on the Vegas Trip, bought a tv for $1500, donated undisclosed amount to Saint Mary's, put a down payment on a condo he bought. (Dani asks like on a beach... Dan laughs and says no to live in")
He won in Sept 09, bought condo Dec 09, got engaged a year later..... and then fish
