NOTE TO READERS FROM TRANSCRIPTIONIST: Please note that my transcripts are USUALLY from the previous day's conversations. Sometimes you'll get a morning conversation transcript that same day in the evening, but it's usually going to be the previous day's conversations. You'll also notice that I generally post the transcripts in the morning when a lot of the houseguests are still sleeping. I figure it gives the fans of BB something to read while nothing is going on in the house. I am a court reporter so I am working during the day, but I record the feeds and come home and transcribe some of the conversations so you, the readers, have a very in-depth and real feel for what's going on in the house. I certify that my transcripts are true and correct to the best of my professional ability. I am a certified machine shorthand reporter, so these transcripts are verbatim.
Sunday - August 28, 2005 - Around 9:22 p.m. BBT
CONVERSATION IN HOH ROOM BETWEEN APRIL & IVETTE WHILE MAGGIE IS IN SHOWER. STARTING IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION REGARDING A CONVERSATION APRIL HAD WITH JAMES.
APRIL: And I was like, "And trust me. Personally, I would like to maybe see other people go as well, but we all know strategically you win every power of veto." And then he goes, "Well, I've never won any HOHs," kind of what he -- and I was like, "James, I could win every HOH from here on out. The power of veto is what's going to matter, because you would win every power of veto; therefore, take yourself off." And I was like, "I just can't chance it for the four of us. I can't." I was like, "Maggie doesn't have a partner; I have to watch her at the same time, and I don't have a partner. I've got to watch myself." And I said, "All in all," I was like, "I just don't want you to ever think that this move is personal whatsoever."
IVETTE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: I was like, "You told me at the beginning of the game to never put someone up for personal reasons, and I'm going to stick to that, because if I wanted to put someone up for personal reasons, it wouldn't be you. Or if I wanted to get someone out for personal reasons, it wouldn't be you." I was like, "So, I just want you to understand that everything that happens this week is complete strategy." He goes, "Okay." And I was like, "I just hope that you respect me coming to you, because I would want someone to do the same for me."
Because I was going to talk to him, because I don't -- he hasn't asked me, but I was still going to talk to him, because I think it is the right thing to do. He was like, "Okay." He was like, "Thanks." And -- he was nice. I gave him, like, a huge and went on.
[Maggie is out of shower, still in bathroom.]
APRIL: Was it hot, Maggie?
MAGGIE: Ooh, yeah. I actually didn't have it on all the way hot like I always do.
APRIL: Oh, okay.
MAGGIE: It was -- that's how hot it was.
APRIL: Let me see...
MAGGIE: Perfect. Like, I don't think you need to give it any time at all.
APRIL: You don't?
MAGGIE: No, I really don't.
APRIL: Okay. You washed your hair and everything?
MAGGIE: Yeah.
APRIL: I thought I heard somebody knock. Oh, that was you.
MAGGIE: How did it go?
APRIL: Huh?
MAGGIE: How did it go?
APRIL: Good. I was just like -- I was really quick and just said, "Hey" -- I thought that was the most respect- -- I think that's respectful to do.
MAGGIE: I do too.
APRIL: I would hope and pray that somebody would do that for me. I would hope.
MAGGIE: I don't want to be blind-sided. You're right.
APRIL: Oh, and I did tell him, I was like, "You know," I was like, "I don't want you to think, like, you were the sole thing this week." I was like, "There were two different options that were set up," you know, because it's true. I just -- I went in there, and I was like, "Hey, James." And he was like, "Hey." And I was like, "Hey, I wanted -- can I talk to you?" And he was like, "Sure." And I said, "Hey," I was like, "before tomorrow I just want to, you know, kind of give you a forewarning if things change, you know, I want you to know that it has nothing to do with personal prob- you know, personal -- personal problems or matters at all." And I -- I didn't -- I didn't speak for all of us, but in a way, I was like, "I want you to understand that, you know, I did get feedback from the group, " I was like, "and it's not" -- or no, no, no. I didn't start off like that.
I said, "It's not for any personal, you know, whatever." I was like, "You are the power of veto champion."
MAGGIE: Right.
APRIL: I was like, "And in this game, from here on out," I was like, "the power of veto is very, very important."
MAGGIE: Yeah.
APRIL: And he goes, "Well, I've never won any HOHs." I was like, "It doesn't matter." I was like, "I could win every HOH and you could win every power of veto, and I could be gone of here before" --
MALE INTERCOM VOICE: Maggie, please check your microphone.
APRIL: Bastard.
MAGGIE: Well, I'm soaking wet.
APRIL: Let me get it for you.
MAGGIE: Well, no, I'm not going to put it on. I'm going to put on my clothes first.
APRIL: Just put it on there and sit down.
MAGGIE: Okay.
APRIL: And so anyway, I just said, I was like, you know, "Power of veto" -- I was like, "The power of veto being won is very, very important in this game from here on out." And I was like, "I've got to look out for" -- I was like, "I'm" -- I was like, "I've got to look out of the four of us." I was like, "And" -- I was like, you know, "Maggie doesn't have a partner. I've got to look out for her."
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: "I don't have a partner. I've got to look out for myself."
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: And I was like, "Trust me. If it had anything to do with personal problems, personal issues, you would not be the one going." I was like, "But if you remember, early on in the game, you told me never put anyone up for personal problems." And I was like, "And that's exactly what I'm not doing."
MAGGIE: You told him that personally he wouldn't be the one going?
APRIL: He wouldn't. It's true.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: I didn't say who, because I don't -- I could see him like trying to flip it, and I didn't even say it that strong. It was just more or less like "Trust me" -- and I looked at him, and I was like, "Trust me, James. I'm not stupid." I was like, "I see a lot of other things going on."
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: I was like, "But for" -- and I was like, "And I did" -- I was like, "You can totally -- if you want anyone to blame on this, you can totally blame me, but I do want you to know that it wasn't just my decision." I was like, you know, "I didn't get feedback from the group. Yes, understably, you know, Ivette personally has, you know, problems with some other -- with another person, but we can't go personal. We all know this is strictly strategy," and I was like, "And, yes, before Jennifer left, she did give me some imput as well, so I have to respect her."
And I was like, "Just out of all things, I want you -- I hope that you respect the fact that I came to you and at least gave you a head's up. And I -- I would hope that anyone would do that." And I just kept saying -- the main thing is that I don't want him to think that it's personal and all that kind of stuff. He was like, "Okay." And then I walk- -- I was like, "Okay. Thank you so much." And I gave him a hug.
And then I walked out. I was looking in the mirror at my f*cking zits, and I -- oh, I did say, I was like, you know, "I want you to be able -- I know that you get stressed out really easily, and I don't want you to have to lay here all night wondering or whatever, and" -- what else did I say? And I was like, "Now it's up to the house to decide."
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: I was like, "I don't -- I don't get to vote."
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: He knows. I mean, he knows.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm --
APRIL: He knows. But he was really nice. He was really nice about it. I mean, I feel bad. I looked at him and I was like, "I" --
MAGGIE: [Mostly inaudible whispering by Maggie.] What if he tries to get them to [inaudible] sympathy vote?
APRIL: He'll -- he'll try to work something, but she -- Janelle won't. No. You just -- you need to make sure you vote, then one other person. I'll -- I'll remind her.
MAGGIE: [Whispering softly] If it doesn't work, we're through.
APRIL: That's why we really need everyone's vote, just to be on the safe side. Beau will vote...
MAGGIE: Um-hmm. He promised.
APRIL: Two and two. Who cares? Two and two.
MAGGIE: Right.
APRIL: I break the -- I'm the tie-breaker.
MAGGIE: Yeah.
APRIL: That's worst-case scenario.
MAGGIE: Yeah. That's three and -- [sneezes.] Bless me. Three and one.
APRIL: Yeah. Yeah, because I was like, "Maggie" --
MAGGIE: Then it wouldn't be a tie-breaker.
APRIL: I know, but if it came down, worst-case scenario, two and two, I break the tie. You know what I'm saying? That's, like, worst-case scenario.
MAGGIE: That's -- yeah, you're right. There's no way Janelle would pick James over Howie.
APRIL: Huh-uh.
MAGGIE: Except -- no, there's no way.
APRIL: Where is she, though?
MAGGIE: She's laying down. She said she was laying down.
APRIL: I feel bad. I don't want -- I'm sure he's already talking to them trying to --
MAGGIE: He needs to.
APRIL: -- stir up sh*t.
MAGGIE: He has to.
APRIL: No, I know, but say sh*t about you and I.
MAGGIE: Oh. I don't care. I don't think there's anything more he could do, really. I don't.
[Fish for 45 seconds.]
MAGGIE: Well, he is very pimpish.
APRIL: Yeah. [Laughing uncontrollably. Not sure what happened when it went to fish, but it's something April considers very funny.]
MAGGIE: Yeah. He's a pimp daddy. Yeah, Arnold's [not sure about the word Arnold] a pimp. That's so funny. I love this color.
APRIL: Oh, my God. You, Beau and Ivette have got -- one of y'all have got to win HOH.
MAGGIE: I know. I know.
APRIL: Are you nervous?
MAGGIE: No. Nope. I get nervous right when it starts, but then it goes away right away because I have to listen to their questions.
APRIL: You've got to focus. You've gotta focus.
MAGGIE: Yeah, I just gotta -- I think I would get them all right if I had time, but they make you answer them on the spot --
APRIL: No, just don't -- you take your own time, and I know that --
MAGGIE: And watch them say, "Maggie, I need an answer."
APRIL: I know, but still give it to the full -- give it as long as you possibly can.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: I'm hoping this -- this one's going to be skill. That would be so great. That would be great. That would be better than --
MAGGIE: No, because Howie and Janelle are good at skill.
APRIL: Howie's not.
MAGGIE: No, but Janelle is.
APRIL: Janelle -- but Janelle's good at anything.
MAGGIE: She was the only person who knocked off on the [inaudible] balls. She went first.
APRIL: Do it again.
MAGGIE: I went second to last and knocked her off.
APRIL: Do it again.
MAGGIE: And that was just because... you know?
APRIL: They've only done one skill.
MAGGIE: One. And that wasn't even skill. That was kind of --
APRIL: Yeah, luck.
MAGGIE: Yeah.
APRIL: Luck, skill.
MAGGIE: On the other ones before, they've done like slip-and-slides where you had to slide your body closest to the line.
APRIL: Why can't they do fun stuff like that?
MAGGIE: Right. It would be fun. That veto that we just did was fun.
APRIL: That was so fun.
MAGGIE: That's my kind of veto comp.
APRIL: That was so fun.
MAGGIE: It wouldn't have been my kind of veto comp if it was my *ss on the line, because I sucked at it, but at least it was fun. And the hockey was pretty fun.
APRIL: No pressure.
MAGGIE: No. The hockey was pressure. I was on the chopping block.
APRIL: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. No, that one was. Yeah, but the mud one wasn't.
MAGGIE: I still didn't pull through. That was -- I thought my only way of surving was to get the veto for myself, and I didn't do it.
APRIL: And you got pulled off.
MAGGIE: And I got pulled off.
APRIL: I didn't know who they wanted off worse. You are Jennifer.
MAGGIE: I thought it was me. I thought it was going to stay the same, and it was just going to come down to the votes.
APRIL: Bottom line is both you and her were strategy.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: There was a personal problem that Janelle had with Jennifer. Janelle told me specifically the reason she took Jennifer out...
MAGGIE: ...was because of Kaysar?
APRIL: Um-hmm. Was because of Kaysar. I knew it. Um-hmm. Because she firmly -- they -- they believed that the minute that Jennifer took that hand off that button, she already had strategized to put Kaysar up.
MAGGIE: They were wrong. They were wrong.
APRIL: I know. Janelle was like, "Why didn't you tell me?"
MAGGIE: Then who would have gone home?
APRIL: I know. Somebody else would have gone home, one of us. It's just --
MAGGIE: Jennifer secured the friendship is what she did.
APRIL: And the jury.
MAGGIE: By sending Kaysar home, she secured the friendship and the jury.
APRIL: And the jury.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: Yep.
MAGGIE: If anyone makes it to the end, they owe it to her.
APRIL: I feel bad because I know James is going to have to -- I guess I'll say something tomorrow when I put him up. I'm going to say, "James, all I can say is you're -- you are damn good in this game."
MAGGIE: Veto champion.
APRIL: "You are the veto champion."
MAGGIE: Call him the veto champion. That's what he is. He's won more vetos in the history of Big Brother, I think.
APRIL: Well, trust me. I guarantee Janelle's going to be right around there with him --
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: -- if we don't f*cking get her out next week.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm. Although it will be Howie against Janelle. They won't be able to work as a team anymore.
APRIL: Um-hmm. But Howie's never helped her win. She's only won one.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm. But she's come second place many, many times.
APRIL: Second and third.
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
APRIL: Which ones? What was the first one she ever competed in.
[End of transcription. The next 10 minutes of conversation is about past veto competitions and very boring.]
Sunday - August 28, 2005 - Around 6:00 p.m. BBT.
SHORT ONE-MINUTE CONVERSATION BETWEEN JAMES AND IVETTE.
JAMES: Can you hear them whispering out there?
IVETTE: Hmm?
JAMES: Can you hear them whispering out there?
IVETTE: Are they?
JAMES: It's funny. My reasoning for it was that because we've been in this house, we have no idea what's going on in the outside world. And the only state left is Minnesota after a nuclear attack, so...
IVETTE: What happened?
JAMES: [In a very soft, whispering voice] That the only state left in America after a nuclear attack is Minnesota, and that's how Janelle got all the votes.
(Laughter.)
JAMES: Because, yeah, only Minnesota could call in. Everyone else is dead.
(Laughter.)
IVETTE: That's funny.
JAMES: That's all I can think of.
[End of conversation.]
Sunday - August 28, 2005 - Around 8:00 p.m. BBT.
SHORT TWO-MINUTE CONVERSATION BETWEEN BEAU, HOWIE, JANELLE, MAGGIE & APRIL OUTSIDE.
APRIL: I mean, I know there were other people in here, but I'm like, "I'm not going to waste my time stressing out, trying to figure out who. Hopefully we'll just have fun and" --
JANELLE: Did you and Eric figure everyone out?
MAGGIE: Umm, I figured -- the only people I figured out the first week was --
BEAU: The first day.
MAGGIE: It was the first night. I figured out Rachel and Howie and --
BEAU: Sarah and James.
MAGGIE: -- Sarah and James. And then it took at least a week for me to figure anyone else out. At least.
JANELLE: Like, after Ashlea was evicted, right?
MAGGIE: Yeah.
HOWIE: One week and a half into the game, I knew everybody. A week and a half. So by Wednesday of the next week, I knew everybody.
MAGGIE: A week and a half. I would say it probably was after Ashlea. I was wrong.
JANELLE: What did you think?
MAGGIE: I was wrong about -- I was wrong -- I didn't figure you guys out --
BEAU: Um-hmm.
MAGGIE: -- you [April] and Jen. Ivette and Beau -- Eric figured you [Beau] and Ivette out.
BEAU: Uh-huh.
JANELLE: That's because I told Kaysar and Kaysar told Eric. And Eric was like, "Who cares?" And Kaysar was like, "Okay. Whatever."
MAGGIE: I don't know.
HOWIE: He goes, "So what if people know each other." That's what he said.
MAGGIE: Really?
HOWIE: Yeah.
JANELLE: To Kaysar.
MAGGIE: How funny.
HOWIE: Yeah.
APRIL: Jennifer and I were totally left out. No one ever talked to us about it. I told Rachel, like, the first week --
MAGGIE: I didn't talk to anyone about it but for Eric.
BEAU: Me neither.
APRIL: I never did. I never -- yeah.
BEAU: Me neither.
APRIL: Exactly.
MAGGIE: So what are you talking about?
HOWIE: Everyone talked to their partners about it. No one is going to talk about it to someone else --
BEAU: Exactly.
HOWIE: -- because they could figure things out that way.
MAGGIE: A lot of people told me they thought I was with Kaysar. That's what I heard.
JANELLE: Really?
MAGGIE: Um-hmm.
JANELLE: See, I didn't think Kaysar was with anyone. He -- because he thought I was with Howie or James, and I --
HOWIE: Did he really say that? He thought that?
JANELLE: Yeah, that's why I had to tell him who my partner was, because he was like freaking out.
HOWIE: People thought Sarah was with me. Michael was like, "How do you know Sarah?"
JANELLE: He [Kaysar] was like, "You swear to God you don't know Howie? because you and Howie are really close. I know you know him. He's like your brother or something." I'm like, "No." He goes, "Yes, you do. You guys live by each other. I know you know him." I'm like, "No, I don't." He was like, "You know James then." "No, I don't."
HOWIE: Michael said -- he goes, "So how do you know Sarah?" I go, "I don't know Sarah."
JANELLE: Oh, yeah. Then we thought that you [Howie] were with Sarah, because the Chicago thing.
HOWIE: Right.
MAGGIE: I never thought that.
BEAU: Oh, exactly.
[End of conversation.]
Sunday - August 28, 2005 - Around 8:30 p.m. BBT.
ONE-MINUTE CONVERSATION BETWEEN JAMES AND IVETTE.
JAMES: I hate this place.
IVETTE: Hmm?
JAMES: I hate this place.
IVETTE: Um-hmm.
JAMES: Is everyone outside?
IVETTE: [Whispers] Janelle's inside. Yep.
[Fish.]
JAMES: ...didn't come out right.
IVETTE: I'm going to go upstairs. If I don't fall asleep, I'll come back down.
JAMES: All right.
[Ivette goes upstairs.]
[Sorry BB Fans. It seems like every time I join a new conversation, I'm catching the tail end of it.]
NOTE TO READERS: I'm very sorry for not posting more transcripts yesterday. I ended up having to go to a deposition and got stuck there the rest of the day. I will try very hard to put a couple more transcripts on today, so keep checking back if you enjoy reading my transcripts. Thank you. |
