Dick and Zach have been going on for like 2 hours now (after each having at least 5 beers) about whether or not they can trust each other in the future. Dick has repeated about 15 to 20 times about how even though Zach voted to keep him, how can he trust him when he was "part of an alliance that wanted him out." Zach, about 15 to 20 times asked Dick not to be like his ex-girlfriend and keep interrupting him while he repeatedly explained that he had Dick's back always, and that he was always going to vote for him to stay, and that he was only going to vote him out if Nick did, explaining that since it was 2 to 2 (Kail/Mike vs Zach/Nick) on the vote issue, that neither 2 could be considered to be boss over the other 2, so the only way he would vote Dick out was if Nick switched his vote. After finally getting Dick to see what he's been saying concerning this, Dick asks him how is that a reason to trust him... he would have gone with the alliance to vote him out as long as Nick did. Zach counters that Dick lied to him, but that he has never lied to Dick [referring to the Dick "lie" when Dick said "consider the source" about Joe leaking to Zach that Dick was rallying troops to get Jen to nominate Zach... of course Dick really did do that, and Dick has admitted tonight on a few occasions (once to Kail and now to Zach) that this has been his only lie in the game so far]. The conversation has revolved, however, more around Dick asking how he can trust Zach, and Zach has repeatedly said "there's nothing I can say to prove it" (ed note: referring to the fact that nothing can be said in words to prove it, but also inferring (at least as he feels) that his actions so far have shown that he has had Dick's back).
They finish the talk with Dick saying "actions speak louder than words" and Zach saying "absolutely" or something similar. |
