Eric opens the door and asks what she's doing out there. She says "thinking." She doesn't want to come in right now.
Eric comes in and continues talking. He is dancing around the issue, saying he feels totally overwhelmed. He says he'll probably decide 10 minutes before the ceremony when he's in the DR. He says he will take his time to sift through to decide on the vote, he's trying to take an analytical approach to see what makes sense. He says he does care about her (Amber), he doesn't care about Zach.
Eric says he's not going to lie, it's all very difficult, decisions here are not easy. He says there are only 7 people left, it's down to the wire, how can he, who is openly a threat and a target, be here one week down the line, two weeks down the line.
Amber says she doesn't see him as a threat.
Amber says do whatever you've got to do, she won't be mad at him either way.
He says if they stay the same, he's 100% open to talk to her throughout the week, she's welcome to speak to him. He said he wishes he could offer her more reassurance but he can't at this point.
Amber says it's harder for her to understand when people say they can't guarantee anything because she...
Eric interrupts and says he promised Dustin his vote and would have loved to give him his vote, he made a mistake by taking that approach because then when it was presented to him in a different light, of course he didn't feel good about casting the vote but that was the aspect that was difficult for him was because his word was crappy that week so from here on, moving forward he's taking the approach that he really just needs to wait and see as the week unfolds.
Amber says, "I understand."
Eric says he doesn't want to put himself in a situation where he has to go back on his word. Amber keeps saying she understands.
Jess comes in the room.
Eric says, "That's all." Amber thanks him for talking to her. |
