Ivette: This is what I am thinking. James asked me already to play chess. He also asked me if he was being backdoored.
April: He DID ask you? (April rolls eyes)
I: He did ask me if he was being backdoored. And I said, "No, you're not being backdoored." (she shrugs, Maggie is silent) What do I say?
April: You need to say, "In this game, you NEVER know what is happening"....
Ivette: (overtalks) Right, right, I know.
April: ...after the Power of Veto.
I: Right, I am going to say, I am going to say, that is what I am going to tell him, you know, "we never make any decisions until, if anyone wins the POV."
A: Yah, say April doesn't know, say I don't know, Janelle doesn't know...
I: (overtalks) yah, yah.
A: ...Howie doesn't know, Maggie doesn't know....
Ivette: Listen. This is the thing, this is the thing which I was telling Maggie (earlier convo in barracks) Let's say Janelle picks him (her tone is very aggressive), because they end up having a pact, know what I mean? The person to GO is NOT Howie. Because in reality, that doesn't really, I mean, uh, yah, it's one player down, but it doesn't benefit us, youknowwhatImean?
A: Yah, but what can we do about that?
I: We need to get James out, or Janelle out, so I what I am saying is I don't want to upset him (James) either. Because let's say he does win the POV (she is assuming he is picked) then we gotta convince him NOT to f*cking use it. (her eyes are big and she is talking directly to April, although Maggie is there SILENT until now). Because then he'll stay with...
Maggie: I don't think we'll have to convince him, he should know that...
Ivette: (overtalks Maggie) do you know what I am saying? (Maggie tries to talk, gets cut off)
Ivette: APRIL, do you understand what I am saying? Do you know what I mean?
A: Yah, but there is nothin' we can do, I mean if he gets picked, I don't think us talkin' to him is gonna help whether he uses it or doesn't use it.
Ivette: Um hmmm.
A: You know what *I* am saying? Cuz the only reason...this is what I fear. That, ok, I went up to janelle in the kitchen and I said, "Janelle, if you pick Beau or Ivette, I PROMISE YOU they WILL USE THE VETO." (Looks at Ivette, who is silent and still as a statue). Cuz, see, Howie & Janelle are of course are going to be worried that if ya'll....
Ivette: (interrupts) See *I* don't want to give them TOO MUCH information because they are going to tell James. (Note: Too late for that, J/H know April's plan) They ALL THREE have a SICK relationship, youknowwhatImean? Do you understandwhatImean?
A: Yah, yah, but let me tell you, this is a free week for them PERIOD. So, that I can see James doing cuz I told James I wasn't going to use him (in veto), I was going to pick Maggie, I can see James going up to Janelle or Howie and saying, "April told me that she wants ya'll outta, that she wants ..let's say you're Janelle (points to Ivette), "April told me she wants you out of here really, really bad. Use me and I'll get you off if I win (Ivette: Uh huh, uh huh) and then we're both safe and we'll take 'em out together." That is the ONLY thing I am worried about. So Beau is going to go talk to Howie....
Ivette:(Interrupts) BUT, you heard Howie today...(she is campaigning HARD for James right now, VERY HARD) that maybe he was joking around, but that he will do whatever he has to do to stay in the game and if James makes him a promise, or better off at this point....
Apri: Yah, but he should know by now that James does not hold his promises. (Silence)
Ivette: But we didn't show to hold our promise either.
A: Well, I know that so, absolutely.
I: (overtalks AGAIN, couldn't hear beginning) So right now (directs this at MAGGIE, not April) it;s everybody (for themselves), youknowwhatImean?
A: Ummmhmmm.
I: Everybody can go buck wild right now and nobody can get upset (Note: Foreshadowing? Will this be her excuse when she doesn't use the veto?)
A: What you can tell James, you can tell James nothing is set in stone, until after the POV. Every week backdooring SOMEONE is an option! (To Maggie) Cuz it's true!
M: (finally chimes in) Not after this week, probably.
