SIUC Graduate Says Appearance On 'Big Brother 5' Was Trying
Jase Wirey used to sleep in a tent in the desert lands of the Middle East with fellow members of the U.S. Air Force. But not even that was as grueling as living in a home in Studio City, Calif., with about a dozen strangers for the CBS reality television show "Big Brother 5," he said. "It was one of the most trying experiences I've ever had, said Wirey, 28, a graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale and now a volunteer firefighter back in his native central Illinois. He said the "Big Brother" house may have a swimming pool and a hot tub, but it feels more like you're trapped in a prison.

Wirey makes most of TV time
In a phone interview a few days after he was voted off, Wirey said his strategy was to "go in no holds barred, call a spade a spade. Everyone's telling lies, everyone's betraying each other. I wanted to call them out."
He added that after he would do this, he planned "to pull them aside secretly" and tell them that it was all for show so nobody would think they were planning something together.

Finally! BB5's Jase Evicted
Big Brother 5's Jase Wiley was the unofficial (and very manipulative) leader of the Four Horsemen alliance. As fans will recall, Jase annoyed the housemates with his constant personal grooming and incessant chatter about his imagined resemblance to Brad Pitt. (Yeah, riiight.) Not only did his abrasive, in-your-face behavior make him the most hated man in the house, but according to Nakomis, he really did make a stink with his tendency to pee on things! Here, the 28-year-old (supposed) volunteer fireman from Decatur, Ill., clears the air about the Goth girl's claim, his relationship with superperky Holly and his constant lying. We think he's telling the truth this time.

Jase Rides Into the Sunset on 'Big Brother 5'
Jase sighs and explains to Julie that it was a girl who tore his alliance apart. Still, he has no regrets. Fortunately, the goodbye messages from the remaining housemates are properly bitter and gloating. Jase is called a butt, gets a razzberry from Karen and discovers that only Cowboy stood by him.

Wirey Jase sent packing
When asked by Chen about whether their relationship in the house was real, Jase responded that he has a crush on Holly.
"Definitely we need to talk and we need to get to know each other," Holly told Chen about where their relationship might be heading now that they are out of the 'Big Brother' house and don't have to be sequestered as part of the jury.

We are originally from a small town south of Decatur, but we have lived in Decatur for the past 10 years...Jase is a volunteer fireman for the Long Creek Fire Dept..he is going through the process of trying to become a Decatur Firefighter..he's passed the written and physical test, and has had one interview so far...he really loves helping people and the Jase you see on the show is not the Jase in real life...he's really a very good person, and he would never be mean to anybody...he's just playing a game...and he is much better looking without the headband and the facial hair...I just wish everyone could see the real Jase...thanks for writing...Jases mom Liz
