| Conway mortician joins housemates on reality show 'Big Brother 5' Latimer and his housemates beat out 100,000 hopefuls who auditioned for the program. His new high-profile status has spilled over to the rest of the Latimer family. Latimer's father is deceased, but his mother is thrilled with her son's appearance on the show. "We've really been sort of celebrities in the area. People have been calling us and telling us they planned to watch it and asking us questions about how he went about it," said older brother George Latimer, 39. | Latimer's family last saw him more than a week ago, when he left for the show. They had signed confidentiality agreements about his appearance and had been sworn to secrecy while Latimer was interviewing for the show earlier this year.
"People were asking us, 'Where is Marvin?' So, we had to make up stories and stuff," said George Latimer, Marvin's older brother.
"They knew it was unusual for him to be gone for two weeks. We ended up lying and telling people we didn't know because we all had to sign confidentiality agreements." View Article Here

| Accepting an all-expenses paid trip to California for a shot at being on the TV game show "The Weakest Link" was a no-brainer for funeral director Marvin Latimer.
"Look, I work in the funeral business. I see death, doom and destruction every day. You think I'm going to turn down a free three-day vacation to Hollywood?" he said.
He was picked up from the Los Angeles airport in a limo, put up in a five-star hotel and shown the star-studded sights of Tinseltown in late July. View Here
