Charlie is at a Crossroads...

I made a joke yesterday, about a theoretical date for Charlie's B-Day where it would be sharing dinner with the final two. My surmise was that it was Kim and Sarah B...

Kim is the kind of girl he wanted to date; have a couple drinks, dinner, some night music, etc...

Then Little Bee comes along, and puts the whammy on Charlie. And, Charlie looks at the clock. Oops. Charlie is 30. He hit one of those magic zero B-Days, and he asks himself, “What have I done?” All us guys can relate.

Yes this is just entertainment to all of us. But I think we are also seeing an evolution of the Chuckmeister. And you can blame Little Bee. He is confronted with some kind of situation he never expected. Take a look at what he said about "Little Sarah". Little is not a putdown, She's probably 5-3 and 110 lbs soaking wet... Little Sarah is descriptive. And I think Charlie is smitten. Look at the body language when he presented a rose on bowling. The awkward walk then he sticks out the rose at Sarah. The others are surprised. Then, there is his defense of her last week. The look in his eyes. The others sense something too. Look at the expression on their faces when the Little Bee comes bouncing into the “dorm” after the one-on-one. In her post elimination interview, even Kindle said she was now pulling for Sarah B. If you look at the ABC forum for the show, Sarah B has many rooters. Probably the plurality, with Kimberly being second most.

Sarah better be in the final two, or they will lose at least half of their dwindling audience.

And we have a ringside seat to the proceedings.

Are you telling me that most fellows who confront a 30th birthday, and realize they need to do something other than be an amiable rogue, might not realize they are at a crossroads? And in front of Charlie stands a 5foot-3 change of direction in his life? ...

If I am wrong, he takes up with Kim for a few months, and we will never hear from him again, and reality TV will be so much nonsense we all love, whatever format we do. And don’t and never take seriously. But we may have an interesting drama here neither we nor ABC expected.

Now, look at the “screencaps” depiction of the final 4 ceremony. Sarah’s attire even outshines the other three. But, I have always been intrigued at a pretty blonde in a short black dress, and NOT wearing idiotic boots. Sue me. I am a guy with a bias. Why do they say Charlie “breaks down”? So, Sarah B could well go home. But then Charlie will prove himself everything many viewers in the beginning said he was. And this type of series will fade…

We all will go on with what ever goes for our own lives. Normally I am a grungy middle-class male with a nice wife and rascally small son. After all, I blame my wife for interesting me in this genre of reality TV in the first place. (Adam from “Average Joe”, she says, was an “idiot”. “Look at the meanness in Jen (Schefft’s) eyes”, she said over and over…) Part of it was the fun of her comments. She thinks both Charlie and Sarah B. are nice people but there is nothing between them. She might be right.

However, if I were to be right about Charlie, this:

will be awfully hard to resist.

Good luck, SARAH!.
