BB28 8/3 Blog: Lyric Trips Onto the Block

The action started early this morning. But with a midday Veto Ceremony, I guess you have to have some groggy chats sometimes. Haley gave Lyric a nice little lecture about not turning on your girls and also told her that she would be putting Lyric on the block as the renom. Lyric has been fighting like heck to work with the now clearly, so clearly, ridiculous how clearly dominant side of the house. And this is the thanks she gets.
Haley clarified that her promise to keep Lyric safe was never broken because she did not put Lyric on the block as an original nominee. Um, hilarious. According to Haley, she saved Lyric the struggle of having two chances to get off the block. So, kind. Now, Lyric only has one. The mental gymnastics on that are Olympic—well, Olympic-qualifying level.
Drew is started to show some nerves. He’s comparing his own situation to that of Cedric, a ghost of Pre-Jury Pawn Past. Frankly, he’s got more reason to worry than Cedric did. He was actually a pawn.
But the renom ceremony was today, and Haley, true to her word—which she does not go back on (ever! If you think she has gone back on her word, you simply do not understand English!)—put up Lyric. Reading between the lines, Haley might have gone off on another monologue too, but we’ll see.
Lyric’s attempts to play Big Brother continue to fracture her relationships, like those with the Giggle Girls who, again, just can’t seem to decide if they want to work together. Right now, the vibes are probably not. At least, not with Lyric. Despite all the drama, she’s probably safe. People would rather see Melody or Drew go.
Misery loves company though, and we saw the folks on the block hanging out as much as they’re hanging on tonight. They said things like “friends for life,” which is sweet.
