BB28 7/21 Blog: Rome Tries a Gendered Approach for Some Reason, Plus Screaming

The houseguests woke up to a new coffee machine today, a day that had all the vibes of a lazy rainy day except the rain. There was game talk but more talk talk plus some stir-crazy antics.
Drew and Barrett started the morning strong by solidifying a final two: the Jugglers. Lyric, Lala, and Taylor chatted over the rough week they’ve had. Lyric said that they need to win the next HOH. After said rough week, she’s really down to talk game.
My personal favorite moment of the day was some primal screaming therapy. For real. The houseguests gathered in the kitchen and screamed their heads off. You know, as people do when they’re stuck indoors for less than 24 hours (the backyard closed at six in the morning). Then they did some kind of group dap that the feeds cut for, so I guess we’ll have to wait for the episode on that one.
Rome went through with his plan to talk to the boys—starting with a no-girls-allowed meeting close to bedtime. People were confused by that. Dee got a little pissed, and to be honest the substance of the meeting just did not require the split (what substance would?). He ended up giving the exact same campaign speech to the girls anyways!
So, whether they believe that this was Rome’s final push on the vote or not (Angela thought he might have another agenda), he did give both girls and guys the same pitch: I’m seen as a threat therefore, I’m a good shield, save your future selves by saving me. But much like his opening joke with the ladies, the argument didn’t land. As Kamu pointed out, every reason (or the one reason) he gave to keep him is a reason to vote him out. Legitimately, what if Rome won HOH? Is he going to put himself on the block?
He said he’d do one-on-ones tomorrow, but the house seems to have its mind made up. They’ve moved on to other things: the next HOH, pranks, and screaming.
