BB28 7/20 Blog: Caught Between the Block and Your Showmance

Hey everybody, it’s time for the veto meeting. *cut to all houseguests crammed into the same room inatotally natural formation* Today was the day. As you probably already know, Devens won the veto this week, so the BB house was his oyster.
But would he go through with backdooring Rome? Most people seemed on board with the move, like they would vote Rome out today if they could. Or take a ride on the time travel table and vote him out before the summer even started. Even his closest allies were mad at him. But Devens seemed a little bummed for the guy. No matter, Rome found a way to spin it.
At least to himself. So, yes, Devens backdoored Rome. And he took down Lyric to do it. To Rome, this was falling on his sword. I mean, he still has the BB Blockbuster where he can save himself, and he’s fired up for that. But he played it like he was some invincible knight in shining armor. I think it’s a smart move for Devens because it does do something good for his relationship with Lyric and Rome, if he stays.
But Lyric was also pitching this idea to Rick, in less of a let-my-cuddle-buddy-play-the-hero kind of way. I’mcurious what else we see about this in the episode. But Lyric’s definitely been trying some gaming out this week, so good for her!
There wasn’t too much vote talk today. After the Blockbuster, the houseguests willbe able to evict either Rome or Jason (or both). I guess they see it as pretty cut and dry.
The vets continued to solidify and build new relationships. Devens might be forming something with Drew, Barrett, and Yash. But Drew and Barrett are already getting a little too cocky for my taste, brainstorming which vets they’d want to get out first.
Back to the star-crossed lovers, Rome and Lyric couldn’t keep their hands off each other before bed. If Lyric’s playing him, she sure is making things believable.
