Big Brother Week 2: Egg Detective vs Messy Boy, Round One

Last night’s episode aired in real time, but the drama it showed us was actually filmed Monday. And honestly, it needed the extra days to be digested properly, because the Nomination Ceremony fallout was unhinged.
Let me remind you. Devens put Jason, Lyric, and Melody on the block, with Rome as the real target via backdoor. During his speech, he exposed that Rome had ranked his own allies, keeping Lyric and Jason close while writing off LaTrice. That alone would’ve been more than enough drama for one day.
But it wasn’t enough drama for this house.
Jason decided that the real problem wasn’t the nomination but Angela. He accused her of pulling Devens’ strings from behind the curtain. And Angela, who is still trapped in her Detective Egg punishment costume (send help, or at least a fan!), wasn’t about to let that slide.
What followed was a full screaming match.
Angela accused Jason of “using his sexuality to play on her emotions,” and Jason clapped back that he’s“not feeling sexual with her, girl.” And then called her an “evil stepmother” for good measure.
Her hat fell off mid-rant. He told her to pick it up “if you can reach it.”
I would pay real money for this to be the official BB28 tagline.
Meanwhile, the actual game moved forward. Devens won the Veto; we already know that and used it on Lyric. This sounds sweet until you remember it’s a chess move, as pulling her off means one less vote in Rome’s corner. So, Rome went up as the reno, and now it’s him, Jason, and Melody on the block together.
Naturally, Rome and Lyric responded to all this by faking a breakup. They had the full performance, tears, “we’re done,” and all the works, just to knock the target off their showmance. But nobody is buying it.
Still, credit where it’s due: solid acting for a couple of amateurs.
And under all the noise, cracks are showing in the house. In Toolshed, Dee and Angela have been quietly discussing how to throw Drew under the bus or at least use him as a pawn to test his loyalty. As for Drew, his paranoia has been growing as he continues to campaign for Melody.
Rome is also trying to save himself by trying to pitch an all-male alliance to secure votes, but that slopped completely. Dee even crashed the meeting andimmediately went to the HoH room with Angela to confirm that they still control the numbers.
Yesterday gave us some new alliances too: The Honor Society, women-only with Angela, Dee, Lala and Taylor, and The Jugglers, which have Drew and Barrett plotting. As for Yash, he’s been trying to get close to all the major groups.
So, where does Thursday’s live eviction stand?
It’sreally down to Rome or Jason, with Rome still the number one target for breaking up the other side of the house. Melody’s along for the ride, but everyone knows she’s not the one leaving.
