Big Brother Week 3: Secrets, Sunglasses, and Someone Please Tell LaLa She’s Not “Abrasive”

Author: Peter

Friday was supposed to be a reveal night, and yet somehow, almost everything stayed hidden in Big Brother USA Season 28. Very on-brand for this season.

Let’s start with the juiciest secret of them all: Devens won this round’s Time Capsule challenge, and what he walked away with is genuinely nasty.

He got a Diamond Power of Veto. This superpower gives him a personal reset button, as it’s good for any of the next six veto meetings and allows him to pull whoever he wants off the block and handpick the renom.

He told Dee immediately, and the two agreed to sit on it quietly until they actually need it. As for the rest of the house? Completely in the dark.

Somewhere out there, Chima from BB11 is shaking her head knowingly.

Then came the Nomination Ceremony, and Kamu put LaLa, Lyric, and Mallory on the block. But the real target this whole time is Jason, who Kamu’s planning to backdoor.

Only problem: Jason’s not dumb. He figured it out almost immediately and started making the rounds, blaming Dee as the evil “mastermind” behind it all, and Angela as her willing accomplice. This might not be accurate, but his accusations are definitely loud.

Speaking of Angela, her Honor Society alliance with Dee, LaLa, and Taylor got exposed today, and instead of owning her part in the leak (remember she told Chuk, Haley, and Devens herself), she’s pinning the entire thing on Taylor.

Bold strategy.

Meanwhile, LaLa got hit with the label of the week. Kamu has managed to tell her, gently but not really gently, that people think she’s “abrasive.” You know, towels, nagging, the whole vibe. She didn’t take it so well.

Kamu’s pep talks didn’t stop there. He told Lyric, “Pawns don’t go home,” in about six different ways, and she eventually caved into an “okay” she definitely didn’t mean. Mallory and Lyric unraveled in tears, saying that every week in this house has sucked.

Ladies, we’re only starting week 3.

On the actual broadcast, Unlocked finally explained the Time Capsule mechanics properly. If you win, you get power, and if you lose, you get humiliated.

RIP to Angela’s egg costume era.

But the real gossip is about who won THIS round’s challenge. Nobody’s flaunting a punishment, which means somebody’s sitting on a power.

And all fingers are quietly pointing at Devens, who’s been oddly quiet and, plot twist, wearing sunglasses indoors like he’s hiding something.

We the viewers know what he’s hiding, and the rest of the house guests have no idea.

Veto’s up next, and with a Diamond Veto lurking in Devens’ back pocket, absolutely nothing about this week is settled yet.
