Big Brother Week 2 Eviction: Rome Is Gone, But His Exit Speech Will Live Rent-Free in Our Heads Forever
Author: Peter
Well, they finally did it. Rome is out, and honestly, we saw it coming from a mile away.
Thursday kicked off with the BB Block Buster between Jason, Melody, and Rome, and Jason won so fast; it barely registered as a competition.
Blink, and you missed it.
That left Melody and Rome sitting on the block together, and Lyric immediately went into full vote-counting panic mode trying to save her showmance man. Girl was doing math she probably hasn’t done since high school.
Behind the scenes, the paranoia train kept rolling. Angela and Dee were side-eying Rome’s closeness with Drew like it was a personal betrayal, and in a plot twist nobody asked for, Drew and Barrett secretly formed their own final-two deal and considered flipping the house to save Rome.
They just didn’t have the numbers. A for effort, F for math.
When the votes came in, it was a total bloodbath. 12-1 with Rome evicted. Taylor was the only one who voted to evict Melody, and Julie all but told America that it was a calculated move to stir chaos and dodge blame.
They were playing chess, not checkers, apparently.
But the real main event was Rome’s exit speech. Before he walked out the door, he grabbed the moment with both hands and announced, in front of literally everyone, “I don’t care who knows it, I am in love with you,” to Lyric.
He dipped her and kissed her. It was full soap opera finale energy.
That’s not even the best part. You see, during his exit interview, he actually thought that Lyric was the one vote that tried to save him, or Jason. Like dude, she voted you out. The whole house watched her do it.
I need him to sit down and really think about that one.
The night wasn’t done there, though. Once the eviction dust settled, the house jumped straight into the new HOH competition, and Kamu came out on top. His plan so far is to keep things simple.
Jason, LaLa and Mallory are most likely his nominations, and there are no backdoor games. In fact, he’s already telling Jason he’s not the target.
This is refreshing after two straight weeks of chaos-brained HOHs, but we can’t let our guard down. What if this is all part of his plan?
As for who’s suffering through slop this week, Dee, LaLa, Mallory, Melody, and Yash are your Week 3 Have-Nots. LaLa in particular is not thrilled, since she was very publicly trying to dodge it all season.
Rome’s gone, Lyric’s got some explaining to do to herself, and Kamu’s about to run Week 4. Bring it on!
