BB28 9/6 Blog: Barrett Walks the Walk and Walks
All Over the Icons

This episode was kind of like a goofy horror movie. Once Barrett won HOH, we all knew
what was coming. Somehow the icons did not. But when they realized? Ahh!
First, we got the fallout from last week’s vote. Taylor was hit the hardest emotionally. Yash
felt like Barrett showed his true loyalty by voting with the Crossovers (ha!). Melody’s vote
(but mainly lying about it) caused some drama. Devens thought Dee might be the one lying
about her vote and that made Dee mad. But that anger was nothing compared with the fury
to come.
This week’s St. Patrick’s Day-themed HOH went to Barrett, the lucky bastard, who—as we
know—has been waiting for his chance to blindside the icons. The Crossovers, oblivious,
were excited for Little Barre Barre’s win.
Barrett promised Drew and Melody safety, and Melody felt free to tell him to go for broke and put up all the icons. Brazenly, Barrett told Devens that he was considering doing that, and Devens tried to talk him out of it—or at least tried to talk Barrett out of putting himself up. And his smooth talking only intensified Barrett’s conviction. Damned if you do…
After that convo, the icon tensions continued. Angela and Devens had an awkward convo.
So, Angela checked in with Barrett who told her straight up she could go up on the block
too—that all three icons could, in fact. He hoped she didn’t take any of it personally. But she
did, obviously.
Angela went right to Dee. Hoping to switch up the target(s), all three icons called a house
meeting to throw Yash under the bus and share the true terms of the BB Bribe deal (that
Yash can’t put up any of the icons). Yash denied it. And yet again, Yash’s word was trusted
over a tried and true ally’s. Now Dee knows how Drew felt (sorry, had to clock it!).
Devens and Drew tried to blame Yash for the stray Taylor vote too, but no luck. Barrett,
cheezing, put all three icons up. And the icons got fired up enough for BB to be able to make a cliffhanger out of the nom ceremony.
On the feeds, we saw the icons scrambling. Dee and Angela tried setting up an all girls
alliance. Devens is hoping Yash will use the veto on him. It’s been a horror movie for the
icons but a lucky week for the other side of the house.
