The Mosh Pit Dies Screaming, and Mallory Finds the Whipped Cream
Wednesday’s episode opened where Sunday’s nomination ceremony left us: with Drew tossing Taylor and Lala under the bus, then discovering both buses had horns. Taylor denied saying she would nominate the Icons, Lala called Drew a liar, and the ceremony became less a ceremony than a televised family meeting with no therapist and far too many microphones.
Once everyone stopped shouting long enough to strategize, the briefly lamented Mosh Pit began crumbling. Mallory and Melody promised Drew they would use the Veto on him. Devens, meanwhile, did the sort of calm math that usually ends with somebody else’s photograph turning gray. Since nearly everyone except Dee would probably use the Veto, he identified Mallory as the replacement nominee who best protected the Icons. Angela agreed; Dee could be persuaded. The alliance formed to evict Kamu had apparently completed its entire mission statement.
The Veto required the HGs to complete enough reps on exercise machines to survive each round. Angela and Drew were eliminated first, followed by Dee, leaving Taylor, Barrett, and Lala. Lala outworked them all, won her first PoV, and guaranteed that Dee would have to show her hand.
Drew and Barrett noticed that “working with the Icons” looked suspiciously like doing whatever benefited the Icons. Devens overheard just enough of their complaint to bluff that he had heard more, and Drew helpfully supplied the missing details. If Big Brother ever offers a prize for self-reporting, Drew already has the résumé.
Lala used the Veto on herself, and Dee named Mallory as the renom beside Drew and Taylor. Mallory responded with a DR performance at a volume normally reserved for rocket launches, declaring the Mosh Pit dead and the Survivor alumni terrible allies. Both observations were correct, although one arrived several days after the funeral.
Afterward, the HGs received Mexican food and began wondering whether their late wake-up meant Thursday’s 1,000th episode might include a double eviction. Or indigestion. Big Brother makes no promises.
By 12:45 AM BBT, FAP had gathered on the hot-tub couch, where Mallory designed a 13-card HG deck. Melody was nominated for Joker; Jason or Julie remained under consideration, because even imaginary card games need unresolved alliance politics. Mallory asked Barrett to stay up, contemplated what she would do if evicted, and considered visiting Angela in Utah—proof that this house can turn “I hate your alliance” into vacation plans before breakfast.
Conversation wandered through first kisses, Accutane, Barrett’s middle-school Twister fart, and Melody’s official ruling that Yash does not give good cuddle vibes.
Near 2:00 AM, Drew and Melody went to bed. Mallory paced the gym, exercised briefly, then restored balance to the universe with candy, whipped cream eaten directly from her hand, and a refrigerator inspection.
By dawn, the house was quiet. Mallory faced potential eviction, and Julie Chen Moonves was presumably polishing the number 1,000.
