BB28 9/1 Blog: Behind Each Other’s Backs, the
Houseguests Might Plan a Unanimous Vote
By Nathan Vogel
Barrett went full zero to hero this week. Or the other way around if you’re a ride-or-die for the icons. But yeah, he was chatting with the feeds today, and between him and some other
surprise voters we’ll get to, Devens is looking sufficiently cooked unless he wins the
Blockbuster.
After a late breakfast, the houseguests bounced around the house doing their chats. LaLa
and Angela talked about where LaLa’s game is at. Drew and Melody continued their
awkward dance. But the star of the show today was definitely Barrett, who talked directly to
us. He told us he doesn’t want to go out as the bottom of the Crossovers alliance or get dragged to the final two. If a Survivor wins, he’ll be sad. He wants to be proud of his game and that means turning on the icons, even if it costs him. He’s committed. He’s voting out Devens if the Survivor is on the block. No ands, ifs, or buts.
It’s almost diabolical how much Barrett is hanging out with Devens. And in the face of
Devens’ nervous quips about trusting him too. To me, Devens has been giving someone
who is bottling up their paranoia (and channeling it into dance!). He makes jokes about
Barrett turning and today talked about seeing Barrett with LaLa in a way that made him
uncomfortable. Still, that’s pretty tame nerves for someone on the block, especially given the
circumstances.
If Devens does win the BB, it looks like LaLa would be the house target. But I’ve seen a lot
more talk about a Devens vote than any other. Speaking of, Barrett’s big moment might be stolen from him by Dee and Angela. They talked about whether they should take Devens out and said they could pin it on Barrett.
Unfortunately for everyone, if it’s a unanimous vote (but one where everyone’s blindsided,
awesome!), the two (three?) sides can’t really pin anything on each other or take as much
credit for the move. I guess we’ll see if the icons are as serious as Barrett is—if Devens is
still on the block after the Blockbuster.
