Big Brother 28 Update: Dee Draws Blood, Drew Draws a Dud
Dee’s second Head of Household reign began with the Icons firmly back in control and half the house pretending this was all part of their plan.
It was not.
After Rick Devens saved Dee with the Diamond Veto and helped send Kamu home, Dee won HoH and nominated Drew, Taylor, and LaLa. Taylor and LaLa are obvious anti-Icon choices. Drew is supposedly Dee’s ally, which in Big Brother means he received a hug, an explanation, and a seat on the block.
Dee also finally unloaded her $5,000 BB Bribe. Yash, who refused it during his own HoH, accepted a deal protecting the Icons the next time he holds power. Apparently five thousand dollars becomes more persuasive when the person offering it also controls your immediate safety. Inflation remains undefeated, but timing has entered the chat.
America sent Drew into the final Time Capsule, where he won the Never-Not Pass. This allows him to avoid being a Have-Not for the remainder of the season, assuming he remains in the season. Drew accurately summarized this as the “F-ass power.” Devens received a Diamond Veto. Drew received permanent permission to eat regular bread.
His consolation prize did not prevent Dee from nominating him. Drew responded by admitting he has played both sides but claiming every lie, leak, and suspicious room tour was committed for the Crossovers. He then aired enough information to trigger a post-nomination house meeting featuring Taylor yelling, LaLa denying, Yash accusing, and several people discovering that “what happens in the HoH room stays in the HoH room” is less a rule than an adorable aspiration.
LaLa objected to being blamed for targeting Angela and the Icons, insisting other people’s hypothetical answers had been converted into her opinions. Mallory, unhappy at being pointed toward as supporting evidence, asked LaLa never to point at her during a meeting again. LaLa agreed, establishing the house’s first formal finger-control policy.
By evening, the target had already begun wobbling from Drew toward Taylor. Taylor believes she can survive beside either nominee and has considered leaving nominations intact if she wins Veto, partly to prevent Yash from becoming the replacement. Drew insists he will simply win it himself. His preparation includes one Jordan almond for luck and a prayer circle run by FAP, so the science appears airtight.
The latest Rock Ceremony asked the universe for a Drew Veto, Barrett’s survival until his birthday, next week’s HoH, and protection from evil. Participants hummed while passing rocks, a cough drop, and an almond. A siren sounded afterward, which Barrett wondered might have been caused by the ritual. Either the universe answered or an ambulance drove past CBS.
Taylor hid Drew’s hairbrush. Melody questioned the Icons’ loyalty. Drew credited his Time Capsule votes to being friends with Melody. Then everyone went to bed, except Mallory briefly chose the wrong place on the darkened rotating Have-Not platform.
This is still a stronger campaign plan than trusting any named alliance.
Honestly, that may be the clearest metaphor for everyone’s game.
