BB28 9/7 Blog: A Big Brother Labor Day!
By Nathan Vogel
Nothing more festive in my opinion. And the houseguests got into the end-of-summer spirit
too. I’d say it’s impressive that they know what day it is but production must have said
something. But before the festivities began we had to get the Veto Ceremony out of the way.
Working on a holiday—c’mon!
I didn’t see anyone chasing down Yash for a final pitch before the ceremony, but Angela and
Dee talked about what their pitches could be—which I think they said during the ceremony?
The icons definitely said something during, but it didn’t help them with the veto. Because
Yash didn’t use it. So, an icon is definitely going home this week.
And the Crossovers are still cooked (grilled? Get it?). Dee seems determined to make
Barrett’s life hell the rest of the game—even being so petty as to move her lawn chair in the
way of his running path in the backyard—and she’s going after Drew too. How. Can. The.
Icons. Not. Trust. Drew. It is literally the riddliest of riddles to me. How is it anything other
than dislike—paranoia if we’re being generous—disguised as game? Somebody please
explain it to me.
Speaking of not liking Drew, Melody was the most fired up after the Veto Ceremony—maybe
just because she was starving (Have Not vibes)—but she was “talking” to her mom and
complaining about everybody, including Drew. They touched base later and seemed to make amends. It’s a roller coaster with those two.
Melody and Taylor discussed the all girls alliance Dee and Angela dreamed up. Their
attitude about it seems to be “never say no to an alliance” and “but this one means literally
nothing to me.”
And the houseguests got up to some Labor Day festivities—went swimming, talked about
making a slip-and-slide, and got a special dinner from production that they took the feeds
down for. I’m not sure why? Was it the alcohol? Because the houseguests were giving tipsy
once the feeds came back on. Paranoia ramped up, target talk ramped up, sleepiness
ramped up. The takeaway from the night seems to be that Barrett and Drew are a lot of
people’s targets now.
We’ll have to see if the icons want to go back to campaign work tomorrow or fake a sick day
and just keep messing with people.
