Big Brother Week 4: The Vote Flipped So Many Times, Even the House Got Whiplash

Author: Peter

If you tried to keep track of Wednesday’s vote plans in real time, I’m sorry, but you probably need a nap now. This day flipped more times than Angela’s loyalties.

Let’s start with the facts.

Taylor won the Veto and pulled herself off the block. Haley stuck to her original plan and put Lyric up as the renom. That locked in Melody, Drew, and Lyric as your final three heading into Thursday’s Block Buster.

But then it turned into chaos. Haley’s whole plan all week was to break up Melody and Drew’s little showmance-adjacent situation by sending one of them home no matter what.

Her plan isn’t working out because Dee had other ideas. Dee came in with her full Survivor-brain energy and pitched keeping Drew in the house, arguing that he’s voted with them every week, feeds them intel, and makes a fantastic shield.

And somehow, SOMEHOW, she and Devens talked the entire Red Corner into flipping their own plan multiple times in a single day.

Kamu wanted Lyric out. Then Haley, Chuk and Kamu regrouped and decided to go back after Drew. Then Dee found out, got annoyed, and threatened to flip it all over again.

By nightfall, nobody in that house could tell you with confidence who was actually going home in today’s voting exercise. Not even the people voting.

Speaking of chaos, Barrett started connecting some conspiracy dots, telling Mallory he thinks the game’s hidden powers were suspiciously placed early on only for the vets to find. Production didn’t like that theory, maybe they felt wronged or guilty, and so they shut down the feeds in the middle of the conversation.

When you combine that with Dee and Devens’ oddly-timed flip right after going to the Diary Room, many fans online have been suspecting the producers of pulling the strings.

Make of that what you will.

As for Angela, she’s becoming even more skilled at being a double agent. She’s spent weeks dragging Drew for being a double agent, but then she went to sit in secret meetings with Haley, Chuk, and Kamu, and then turned around to lie to Yash about it.

The student has become the teacher.

Despite all this chaos, there was a little moment that has got showmance fans swooning. Melody snuck into Drew’s bed after he’d fallen asleep. He woke up and pulled her in anyway, and they went on to whisper to each other but we couldn’t make out what they said.

Maybe it was sweet nothings. Maybe it was plotting.

They also posed for what I can only call a tragic movie poster of a photo, complete with him wiping actual tears off her actual face. Showmance fans, ready, set, go.

By the time everyone collapsed into bed, Melody was still expected to go home if she loses Block Buster, with Drew as the backup if she wins it. Haley got her way, for now.

But given how yesterday went, “for now” might not survive breakfast today
