BB28 9/20 Blog: The Double Eviction Gets More
Air Time and a Pharaoh’s Curse Cliffhanger
By Nathan Vogel
Another stuffed Sunday episode tonight! Of course, we had to catch up on the Double
Eviction deets we missed first. *Cue time-travel effects* Once Melody won the DE HOH, she
told Taylor that she wanted Devens out, and they made Drew swear he’d vote an icon out if
one was on the block. Then Devens won the veto, and both sides went to work on the
flirtmance. The icons agreed to a final three with Drew if he kept Dee. Taylor and Yash tried
to convince Melody to put up Drew. But Yash was too tempting of a backup target, as hard
as Taylor fought to save him, and once he was on the block, Drew couldn’t resist outing the
Skullet. *Cue additional time travel effects*
After the eviction, the icons assured Drew that they were locked in. Then behind closed
doors, Dee was pushing to target him again if one of them won HOH next. Devens wasn’t so
sure.
Then Vince Panaro, runner up from BB27, time-traveled (*effects*) into the house to reveal
that he’d stolen some treasure and wanted to share it. Each houseguest was isolated in a
room with a button and given the choice between not pressing it and everyone getting 1K or
pressing it and getting 10K for themselves and nada for everyone else. Devens pressed that
thing so fast. And the Pharoah’s Curse twist was unleashed.
Let’s be real, though, based on everything we know so far, the twist is not that twisted. It
seems like the houseguests will play two rounds of HOH, veto, and eviction in one week,
and we’ll cut any lag time left in the season. Happy production, happy life.
The HOH was the tiny stacking challenge. And after a lifetimes’ worth of frustration in just
over four hours, with Devens falling to his knees in agony at one point, Devens won and got
that tiny HOH key.
After his win, Melody felt things weren’t looking good for her and she was right. Devens was
definitely down to keep Drew safe, but Melody was the thorn in Devens’ side when it came
to the guy. And despite his pleading, it looked like Devens might put Drew up just to ensure
that he didn’t use the veto on Melody if he won it that would force Devens to put up Dee by default.
And then… the episode ended. Honestly, I thought we’d wrap this whole twist up in one
episode, but there was just too much BB!
On the feeds, the icons were still feeling good even though Drew won the veto. Dee and
Drew agreed it’d be better for them to sit next to each other rather than Devens. And the
clock is ticking on the Egyptian Eviction. It’s got to be tomorrow. I wonder if Melody and
Taylor are tempted to time-travel forward or backward?
