BB28 9/14 Blog: A Lazy Day After a No-Suspense
Veto Ceremony
By Nathan Vogel
Well, the veto ceremony came and went today. Drew, veto winner, controversial figure, and
tv icon in his own right (people just keep finding him in shows!), used it on himself and, well,
there’s just no suspense to tease out here. It’s almost like a final four veto. There was only
one way today could go. Yash had to put Taylor up. It just is what it is.
Barrett and Taylor spent portions of the day in a funk: Barrett just disassociating, Taylor
retreating to her pod. Melody just flirted a lot with Drew. Yash apologized to Barrett and
Melody, but it really just is what it is. Yash’s hands were tied. He’s excited for the double
eviction when his hands won’t be tied anymore—except he can’t be HOH for the double
because it’s this week, so this could be some ironic foreshadowing.
Dee and Devens celebrated their safety and thanked America (for the Bribe), and Dee noted
that everyone outside at the time looked sad. Later in the day there was some more cheery
backyard time, but Barrett sat in the gym looking very glum.
The houseguests chatted a little bit about everything today: end of game voting (like Dee
and Devens might vote for Drew to win—I didn’t think there was even the slightest chance of
that), plans for once they’re out of the house, and their videos from home. People wondered
if this week would finally be the rope Blockbuster. Yeah, guys, and maybe it’ll be set in
Egypt…
Yash and Drew laughed about how everyone thinks they were arguing at the end of the veto
instead of making a deal. But otherwise, it was a pretty quiet night tonight. We’re probably in
for a lot of those as the game winds down.

Unless F.A.P. puts in some legwork the next couple days, it feels like one of them has to be
going home. But maybe they’re just hoping the icons will do what they do best and flip on
their current alliance the day of the vote.
