BB28 9/27 Blog: Jury House Drama Stole the Whole Show

Tonight’s penultimate episode started with the “fallout” from Dee’s eviction. Devens was
grateful to Drew and also very emotional to have made it this far. Taylor thought Drew was
an idiot. Interestingly, Drew got Devens—and not Dee—to agree to throwing the first part of
the final HOH if Drew kept him. Pretty slick, imho. Even if Devens doesn’t go through with it,
it’d be a pretty conservative bet to say Drew will at least get second place at this point, no
matter who wins final HOH. And I don’t think that’d be the case if he ousted Devens.
Then the houseguests sat down for the final three meal, reminisced, and talked through their individual journeys. Highlights included: The house dressing up in black tops and jorts—with the Devens dance circle moment to boot; Some fun about when Yash got philosophical, like “Every day we’re closer, we’re farther.”; Mallory Airlines hijinks (did they ever land anywhere?); Bugs in the BB house (and no Kelley there to appreciate them); Haley complaining; and Drew getting pranked. They also threw in some DRs we hadn’t seen
before—mostly people crying. All good fun.
As for the players’ game recaps, Devens highlighted his moves: linking up with Dee,
merging alliances, evicting threats, winning comps. You could tell they were trying to keep
things fair when they did these sections for each of the players, but Deven’s coverage—in
this whole episode actually—just screamed winning edit. Drew’s game talk featured intentionally aligning with the icons, playing both sides, getting himself off the block, tensions with Melody, and making the deal with Yash. Taylor said she intentionally laid low and tried to come off as less of a threat and won some comps.
But by far the most thrilling part of the episode was Melody’s arrival at the jury house. As the
jurors sat and watched Melody’s clips, Angela made a passing comment about how Taylor’s
game was just slightly below Melody’s. Melody took offense at this. And Angela and her
went back and forth, with LaLa chiming in against Melody. At first, Angela might have been
being cordial, if a game diss can be that, but once Melody shot back that Angela’s people
didn’t want to work with her and that Angela wasn’t a threat, the wheels came off: “Welcome
to jury, bitch.”
At the end of the episode, we time traveled with the final three to ole colonial times. The first
part of the final HOH was a Benjamin-Franklin-inspired endurance comp where they have to
hold onto a “kite” that electrically shocked them while they walked on a rotating log.
As for the feeds, the houseguests might have celebrated Taylor’s birthday early today and
adopted a beetle. Four sleeps until finale night!
