Tonight’s epi began with a look back over the season with regards to each of the final 5....
We first see Dan making another knotch into the tree marking the days that they have been there. At that time, Fabio and Dan are talking with Holly and asking her if she would entertain switching sides and being one of the final 3 for sure. Fabio and Sash then head off for their chat, meanwhile in a PI, Sash admits that he is just going to tell Fabio what he wants to hear and that’s that as he knows that Fabio is going to test him, and not only that but if Fabio gets into an immunity run, he could make it all the way to the end.
Then we see Chase and Sash heading out for their chat. They re-confirm that they are both still on the same page and if Fabio doesn’t win immunity, he will be sent packing.
Up Next.........Immunity Challenge #1
On Probst’s mark, the survivors head out to the station, find a question there for them, choose the correct answer, then grab the bag of puzzle pieces, and race back. If your answer is right, the bag will have puzzle pieces.......if wrong, the pieces will be blank, at which time, you go back, answer the question correctly and get the bag with the puzzle pieces........ There are three questions in total. Once all puzzle pieces are obtained, solve the puzzle, the first one done is the winner. After getting the first question wrong, Fabio comes out the winner.
As everyone gets back to camp, in a PI Fabio is gushing and extremely happy with himself. As he stated in the PI, he always knew that towards the end, he would be the aggressor...he knows that he needs to talk to Chase and Sash to get Holly out first. As he first takes Chase aside, Chase tries to convince Fabio that Dan is the bigger threat even though Chase knows different.........the idea in Chase’s mind is that if Holly wins the immunity next time, then he doesn’t have to vote her out. Next Sash and Dan talk with Fabio as Dan speaks his peace and tries to convince the guys that voting Holly out is the best thing to do for the first immunity vote.
Tribal council #1
As everyone takes their seats and the jury comes in, Probst first picks on Fabio with his immunity win, then Dan with his strategy concerning that he isn’t a threat, hasn’t done a thing to win this. The tribal council was pretty mild compared to other ones so far this season. The main points is whether they should vote off Holly or Dan. During Dan’s exit speech, he expressed that he changed his vote to Chase to show how much he disliked the guy, he called Holly a crook – they should cut her damn hands off, and then called Sash a whiner like a little girl.
Final 4...........
Fabio states that he feels great being in the final four with the necklace and that he really needs it for the final immunity challenge. According to Sash, he has everything in the bag and that he feels everything is going according to plan.......guess we’ll see on that account.......LOL.
While Fabio is out swimming, and Sash is wandering the beach, Holly and Chase are talking about who will get voted out if Fabio wins and they come to the conclusion that if Fabio wins, the best thing for the two of them is to vote out Sash considering his possible jury votes. Now if anyone other than Fabio wins, then he will be gone. Then Fabio takes Chase out for a walk and they decide that it will be the guys going to the final 3 and Holly will then be voted out......
Right’s of passage walk.............
As the final four follow the map, they all find the previous survivors that have been voted out; They pick up their shields one at a time all the while remembering the time spent with them....finally at the end of their journey on top of a cliff, there was a lit cauldron where the four placed the shields.........
Up next...........Immunity back up for grabs for the final time
As everyone stepped up to their mats, Jeff tells them the idea of this final challenge. They will each have a sword, with the one hand they will balance the sword on the shield, with the other hand, they will place coins onto the handle of the sword......the last one that has their pile of coins still standing will be the winner. The lineup of survivors that are out of the challenge were Holly, Chase, Sash and Fabio the winner of the challenge.
Final Vote Tribal Council
When the group gets back to camp, Fabio is stoked that he is the one holding the cards for the final elimination. As Holly and Chase head off to get water, Sash and Fabio are left back at camp...........In a PI, Sash admits to taking the stance that he will tell Fabio anything and everything that Fabio wants to hear so Sash will be in the final 3. Sash even says that he will vote what Fabio tells him to vote.......yea, right........You can tell by looking at Fabio that he just ain’t buying Sash’s story.
Chase and Fabio head off for a chat on their own. As Chase learns that Sash told Fabio that Chase wouldn’t be the one to go to the finals with, it is obvious that Chase is pi$$ed off with that comment. One of my favourite sayings tonight by Fabio happened in a PI around the Sash/Chase/final 3 conversation...... “it is like going into the kitchen, flipping the light on and finding all the cockroaches running and hiding and squirming around.......it is really funny watching them throw each other under the bus.” One thing about their conversation, Chase was being honest with him and saying that the three of them were planning on going to the end......
Holly and Fabio then have their time for a chat......Chase was sitting by listening, but the ones talking were Holly and Fabio.....Holly being honest with Fabio about the final 3, also Holly saying that Sash probably isn’t the one to go to the final 3 with.
Up Next..............final vote out at tribal council
As the survivors come in and take their place, the jury is then brought in........Fabio looked like the cat that ate the canary as Probst begins talking to him. Fabio states that it is wonderful to be him knowing that he is in the final 3, then states that he had a good talk with everyone.......first up was Sash and Fabio agreed with Jeff stating that he didn’t believe Sash and saw through everything that he was saying. When Fabio said that, you could see the look on Sash’s face.....Oh Shit kind of a look......LOL.......then Fabio talked about his chat with Chase. At least Chase was honest with him and admitted that they probably wouldn’t of taken him to the final 3. Fabio then asked Sash straight up......if Sash had of won the last challenge, would he of still taken Fabio to the final 3.......Sash said that he believed that he would of.......this of course sets Holly off. It is obvious that Fabio isn’t as gullible, stupid, and not playing the game as he had been portraying thus far, and he is really pushing that on the Jury starting at this tribal. When all was said and done, Holly was the one voted out.
As they get back to camp, Fabio tells us in a PI of how he feels that he is finally in a powerful position and since he pitted Sash against Chase tonight in tribal, it was his way of letting the jury know that he knows what is going on. Chase then says in his PI that he is looking forward to tomorrow night when he finally gets his say and knowing that he is safe, guns will be blazing. Then Sash says in his PI of how he was called out tonight on how he has played the game thus far. As he put it, it was a double whammy tonight. In Sash’s PI, he feels that Fabio and Chase don’t deserve to be in the final 3 and he states that he feels that he has played a better strategic game than either of them.
Breakfast for three............
The three guys head to the tree mail area and find their breakfast ingredients waiting there for them.....as they haul everything back to camp and get to making their breaky, they are discussing how they are the best final three possible and all the other crap. In a PI, Chase admits that even then, he is still playing the game and trying to figure out how to get into their heads. He admits to trying to spin a tail for Fabio claiming that he will be the winner of a million bucks........all the while, trying to get Fabio to be over confident........hoping that that strategy will help Chase win. As they get ready for their final tribal, they pile up all the camp’s stuff and set it on fire.........the camp is burning as they all head off to tribal.
Final Tribal Council................
As the three settle down in their seats and the jury is brought in, Chase begins with the opening statements.......Chase was energetic and asking them all to bring on the questions as he really wants them to understand why he did certain things during their time there. Fabio was next........his strategy was to be an open book....let them see him for who he is. When it came down to it, winning 3 challenges back to back, true survivor mode. Then Sash....it was obvious from looking at the jury’s faces, they saw through his line of bull........
Jury’s questions................
Brenda up first......to Sash.......making alliances was smart, but then break them all and ask questions from the jury......not so smart. With Chase, she wanted to know about his thoughts of breaking an alliance with her and voting her out so easily. But Chase reminded her that he is the one that told her what Holly’s alliance was going to do. Immediately Sash tried to throw Chase under the bus....Brenda wasn’t standing for that.
Marty.......Survivor Nicaragua, award for the dumber than a bag of hammers, who is his pick for the dumber than a bag of hammers.......not the 3 standing up there, not anyone else on the jury except for Marty.......Sash.......a celebral player, solid strategist..........Fabio, most improved person and player.
Holly......Chase.......best strategic move in game.......beginning of game, chance to go with alliance of 6 versus 4 when he went with the 4 as he could trust them.........Fabio........3 immunity challenges back to back.....too little too late? Fabio says that they all came at the very right time. Sash.......did he ever lie to her........yes,
Jane.........Sash.........Someone raised him good to be a New York City River Rat, go back to NYCity gutters.............Chase.........made her time the funnest event in her life. Will donate 100,000 to cancer research project that his brother started, and he will take care of his mom.........Fabio chimes in with saying that he wants to take care of his mom as well.........something that everyone should do.
Benry...........nothing for Chase..........Fabio........congrats on the back to back to back........Sash.......he could see through him and his fake smile/laugh. He wanted to know what made him the mark.
Dan..........Sash..........calling him a liar, a phoney, called him out on saying things to Dan that he never lived up to........called him spineless, hates his smile and should get his eyes fixed......Chase.......the most paranoid player..........backstabber.........Beauty fades......dumb is forever.
Purple Kelly.........Sash..........explain how he outwitted all of the jury.......created many alliances, hurt many people,
NaOnka.........Fabio.......during the meet/family challenge........seeing his mom, did it get him to the end........Fabio gets extremely emotional here and you can see other jury members crying as well.
Alina..........Fabio - the ultimate surfer boy.........Sash........called out Fabio as being the one that knew nothing........Chase as the wishy washy guy...........then Alina talked to Chase about coming into there strong tonight..........Fabio tried to stand up for himself by saying that he never backstabbed anyone which is extremely hard in this game and the only one of the three to accomplish that.
Up Next.............votes are read........
After the voting is done, Probst carries the votes back to Los Angeles where they are read out live. When all votes are read out, Fabio wins by 5 votes.........Chase gets 4 and Sash gets none.
The Reunion Party up next...........
Fabio becomes the youngest survivor to win the Million bucks. When Jeff asks Fabio is he really a goofball or was he just playing one as that is what was expected of him...........Fabio explains it that it comes down to really knowing yourself. He says that he has been crazy for a while, but again it is a matter of knowing yourself and how you can play up yourself to make things work.
With Chase, he says that he went kind of crazy in the game.......with Brenda, he did have a kind of a crush, yet considers her a really close friend. Chase was also asked about his career with music.......Jeff hands him a guitar and Chase sings the song that he just wrote and produced........will be released soon.
Then Sash was asked about the connection that he had with Brenda. Probst apologized to Sash for stating that he thought that Sash would be the first one voted out......he congratulated him for being there till the end.
Brenda........she kind of knew that she wouldn’t get the idol from Sash, but kept hoping for it and that is why she didn’t scramble.
Jimmy Johnson..........67 and one of the oldest to do the game.........the first time he applied, he was refused, the second time, the doctor told him that he had 2 blocked arteries, the third time he was accepted and was the 3rd person voted off.
Holly..........Drowning Dan’s shoes.........how coach Johnson got her back in the game on day 5........presented Dan with a pair of full quill ostrich cowboy boots......
Jane..........did a lot of training for the show, prepped for fire....practiced for a long time making fire with a lot of different things.........Marty and Jane still not getting along........
NaOnka.............she finally admitted that she acted like a fool.........she treated Kelly like another contestant and not a one legged person.......some of her kid’s parents are wanting her to be fired........brought up the quitter thing..........now survivor has a clause in the contract saying that if you quit the game, other than for extenuating circumstances, they get to do what they want with you......jury/ no jury.....etc.
Fan’s choice went to Jane..........$100,000.00 Sprint winner.
Shannon was given a chance for redemption........as he said, he was calling a duck a duck. Probst shut them down really quick when it seemed like Sash was going to fight about it.
Survivor: Redemption Island
When a survivor is voted off, they don’t actually leave the game but are exiled to another island where they will live alone. When the next person is voted out, that person will join the first person on the other island where they will have a head to head face-off in a challenge. The winner will continue to live on the island alone as long as they succeed in the challenges, and the looser is out, until a time that they are given another chance and re-join the game with the others......to have a chance for the million dollar prize. Survivor: Redemption Island returns Feb. 16/2011.
