As tonight’s epi began, we are given a short rundown on what happened last week, then we catch up with Matt who has been sent to Redemption for the 2nd time. A slow lesson this guy is.........LOL. So he is back on his usual “bed” getting ready for the night and recounting what just happened and how he was fooled twice by the same people.
Back with the tribe, Mike and David are talking of how it was a brilliant move against Matt, but a move that they as the old Zapa tribe definitely didn’t like. Mike brought Rob over to tell him that too..........probably not a bright move on Mike’s part.........LOL. Ralph then caught up with Ashley and asked her if he is on the “chop block”.......she was confussed about that one........then she got it and realized he meant the chopping block. Rob brought his group together and told them that they won’t decide who’s going until the last minute before tribal.........also the buddy buddy system is starting. What Rob also instilled into the Ometepe tribe is that they will eat at different times, sleep in different shelters from the other tribe.....etc. and by doing that, they are instilling that they are superior to the other tribe.........except Rob won’t act arrogant at all........hmmmm, is that possible for Boston Rob?? Natalie found Rob and told him of how Ralph approached Ashley to try to get her confidence and how Ralph told her that if she makes it to the final 3, she’s got his vote......This of course got Rob feeling good............1) he’s got Natalie in his back pocket still........ 2) he knows he can’t take Ashley to final 3........... 3) Ralph also might be the next one on the chopping block.
Immunity is up for grabs
First part of the challenge: dig down to find a club, untie it and use it to smash a tile.........first six go onto part 2: put your head into a trough of water, grab a mouthful, crawl under the trough then spit your mouthful of water into a tube.....the first 3 to fill up their tubes will move onto part 3: solve a brick puzzle. Grant, Rob, Ralph, Mike, David, and Julie. Round 2: Grant, Mike and David win and carry onto round 3. Grant won round 3 and the first immunity tonight.
Back at camp, Mike noticed that the flag pole was moved.........he told Ralph and David, so Mike and David started digging around the flag while Ralph went away to put his stuff on the bench. Meanwhile, Rob noticed that they were digging at the flag pole so the Ometepe came to see what was happening. So immediately Rob grabs the shovels for him and Phil to dig to see if they can find the idol. In a PI, Rob admits to having idol paranoia.......it is the thing that killed him the last time and he doesn’t want it to happen again. He gathers his group around for the vote decision.......... People have thrown out Mike’s name, but David’s name is also thrown out as well.......the idea is who will beat Matty on Redemption??
Tribal Council............
Damn Probst.........he has to talk to Phillip and let him in on the conversation again about that stupid feather.......what could he be thinking.......LOL. David is then brought into the conversation by Jeff by saying that the old Zapa feel that Phillip is on the bottom rung of the six old Ometepe tribe.......Phil chimed in with saying that being on the bottom is fine as long as he is a part of his new family...........Then Julie piped in with saying that Matty also felt that he was a part of that family too.........this got a big smile out of Probst for her quick wit.
Back at the beach, Rob took Phil aside and said that he wasn’t in the bottom of the pack but up top with him.......yea, right......... Then we get a PI from Rob telling us how he feels things to be now........because Phil is hated, and because Natalie hasn’t done much, they will go to the finals with him..........guess we’ll just have to see about that one.......could this be foreshadowing??
The next day they awake to pouring rain.......Phil is getting the Ometepe’s tribe their hot whatever (presumably coffee) and the other tribe members are sitting there on their bed looking forlon. Ralph is getting itchy feet as he wants to push the game along, claiming that he is tired of sitting around with people that don’t want to talk about the game....So he interrupts Phill as he is talking to Andrea..........sorry Ralph, that’s mistake #1,............nobody interrupts Phil while he’s talking..........I’d of thought Ralph would of picked up on that by now.........LOL. Anyways when all was said and done, it got Ralph absolutely nowhere but full of more frustration.
Immunity back up for grabs................again
As the tribe arrives on Immunity beach, they find out that today’s challenge is for reward and immunity. The reward part is cheeseburgers.......that is decided by the white/black rock.........white means eating, black means immunity. Once Probst tells all to reveal, Phil and Steve have both decided to eat.........the rest are playing for immunity. The idea of the challenge is to hang upside down on poles........for the first 20 min, you can use both legs and arms to hang on with. Then after 20 min, you go to legs only..............Rob was the first one out, followed by: Julie, Grant, Ralph, David, Ashley, Natalie, leaving Andrea as the winner.
As everyone gets back to their beach, Ralph finds the net full of fish.........Rob comes to check them and decides that they are too far gone and will poison you if you were to eat them.........He tells hi tribe to ignore the other ones and know that they won’t be sick as long as they don’t eat. Meanwhile Grant gets up and tries to taste one of the fish......you can just see the “control” that Rob has over his tribe. In a PI, Rob is trying to decide who to vote out next........the old dying T-Rex who really wants to go home(Steve) or one of Rob’s strategic and good player opponents(David). As Rob says, he’s been known to have a mercy killing in him from time to time, haven’t I??
Tribal Council.......................Part 2
As everyone arrives at tribal, Phil the mouthpiece was back at it again.........good grief. Phil went on about the stealth are us again and some other crap about the three ladies in the group........to tell you the truth, I gave up listening as soon as I saw his mouth open. Anyways, Probst brought into it how Phil ate during the competition and after hearing Phil’s long winded speech, he asked Steve the same question and to his credit, he answered very honestly.......he knew that he wouldn’t last long, felt he needed the food more, hoped that that fact would be understood and that things would work out. Julie let it out of the bag of how the tribe members are never alone..........how Rob has complete control over them and how it is like a cult. This gave Jeff a start as he had to blink his eyes twice while looking at Rob to figure out if it was true or not......... When all the votes were tallied, David was given the boot to RI.
Well, that’s all for this week........seems like Phil’s mouth and weird ways might land him in hotwater again for next week................
